Not accessible inside the castle, but only gardens and viewpoint. €7 is a good price, considering it is kept really well, and includes a wine tasting at their wine shop.

The tours were sold out for the times we wanted so we did the 7 Euro "Self Guided" walk around the castle and grounds. Beautiful views of the area as you are on the top of a big hill. You can walk all around the castle and get great pictures of Tuscany from all sides. Garden is also nice. In the end, we were happy to do the self guided tour as it left time for more adventures in the area.

Had a wonderful tour. That is a must so you learn more about the background. Beautiful chapel. It was a very special visit and definitely worth it. Good to see. Everything looks taken care of. Passion radiates from it.

Visited first the castle, which is nice, but it was unfortunately closed as it is private residence. In turn, the visit to the Vincent was an experience, with lots of options to taste and friendly and knowledgeable service - which also referred us to a cozy wine restaurant

Unfortunately of the famous Castle of Brolio I will remember only the external view because I decided not to enter. The personal "telegraph" of the ticket office informed me that the visit could take place in two ways: independently provided only the gardens at a cost of € 7 while the guided one provided only the museum and the gardens but not the internal parts of the structure at a cost of € 10 if I am not mistaken. Too bad I arrived on site at 10 and the only guided tour of the day would be at 12!

Did the sunset tour with wine tasting and dinner with my family. This is the only winery l've been to outside the US so can't compare to others in Chianti.
We enjoyed the tasting, castle tour and dinner very much. All of the staff were very friendly and personable. The dinner was well organized and delicious, wait staff was attentive, and generous with the wine.

What a great walk around a beautiful homestead of the Baron. The garden and walk around the perimeter wall was breathtaking.

I bambini fino a 12 anni entrano gratis e ci sono riduzioni per i nuclei familiari con ragazzi fino a 17 anni.
Il Castello di Brolio adesso è chiuso; riapriremo le visite il prossimo 20 marzo 2020 (tutti i giorni con orario 10:00-18:00)

We will be visiting Brolio and don't necessarily want to do a guided tour. Even after looking at their website, we are a bit confused. We'd like to see the gardens and the Ricasoli Collection. Do we have to do a tour to see these things?

Thank you for the request. To visit the gardens, private chapel and Ricasoli Collection (closed every Monday) you do not need any reservation.
The ticket office is open every day 10am-6pm and the availability for the Ricasoli Collection is to check upon your arrival.

Let me tell you that it would be a great idea!
The castle and tour is a view inside the Italian XIX century when Baron Ricasoli became Prime Minister of the Younger Italy. But the dinner is able to satisfy your material sensation. The meals are very very good. I suggest you to test the wines at the enoteche at the and of the tour so you can order - during the dinner - the best red wine for you. My best is Brolio Riserva 2014.
