Un lugar que la verdad esperaba que fuese un centro de conservación de fauna pero en vez de eso me encontré con animales en jaulas muy pequeñas, tenía gallinas y palomas encerradas innecesariamente además los papagayos estaban estresado

The big beautiful flowers and trees was very cool.
There were only a few animals and they were in cages not natural settings.
It was interesting to see the volcanic rocks and landscape.

I was extremely disturbed after visiting. The coyotes, pigs, large birds and jaguars were the worst. Pacing with dead eyes in disgusting conditions. This place should rethink their purpose and set free or put down these beautiful but trapped creatures.

Es un lugar bonito y ameno para ir con niños, tiene fácil acceso podrás ver muchos animales y aprender de donde provienen.

I went to this zoo/ animal sanctuary with my husband and our 11 year old. We enjoyed it a lot and was pleasantly surprised with how large it was and the number of animals that were there. Every time we thought we were finished there was another section. It was sometimes challenging to figure out where to go next, but we made it through. Hopefully we didn’t skip any animals. The enclosures and the zoo itself were very clean. The scenery was absolutely beautiful! The prices were great. For 3 of us it was less than half the cost of one ticket at our local zoo. We were happy to support an animal sanctuary.

A pesar que estoy en contra de algún tipo de maltrato animal (ojo no digo que los maltratan sino al hecho de estar en cautiverio) se nota que la inversión de la entrada se refleja en el cuido a los animales y al lugar ... los animales se notaban saludables y ver la variedad de ellos y las hermosas vistas Del Valle de Antón ... hace que el tiempo sea aprovechado y disfrutado en un 100%.
Es emocionante saber que sobrevivieron a la pandemia donde no tenían ingresos para mantener a ran bella cantidad, calidad de animales y en buenas condiciones que es lo más importante . Como panameño considero que es obligante mantener y ayudar a lugares como este !

It’s a group of disparate animals in mainly old antiquated cages, the exception being the Spider monkeys. There’s no attempt at education or conservation and the bigger mammals just pace relentlessly. Bizarrely there’s a large chicken section and the eggs are on sale at reception. There’s also a large plants for sale section.
If you want to do some good then go and see Jasón at the Square Trees Nature trail who has a few Golden Frogs and a desire to preserve them.

El Níspero es un clásico si vas de visita a El Valle de Antón.
Existe un sonido tan especial cuando la brisa recorre el valle hasta llegar al jardín principal, el cual es ideal para tener un momento 'mindful'. Es uno de mis espacios favoritos en Panamá.
Su único punto en contra es el cautiverio de animales, por lo tanto, si estás en contra de los zoológicos no pierdas tu tiempo...puedes agarrar un enojo prevenible. Para los/as niños/as en su inocencia, por el contrario, disfrutan mucho viendo animales en vivo que solo pueden ver en figuritas o en la televisión/computadora.
Ojalá en un futuro cambien su modelo de negocios...

Hi We will avoid, place sounds like it should be shut down! Animals should only be in zoos for conservation in this day and age where so many face extinction due to human behavior! Birds so bored they pull their feathers out and animals that should be roaming free shut up in appalling conditions, what kind of lesson is this for children to learn?
Anyone prepared to justify it?? let me know, thanks

The Zoo el Nispero is a sanctuary for animals that were confiscated by the government authority. Every animal comes in "as-is." Because it's not a regular zoo, finances are hard to come by and are privately funded. Of course, the government would not subsidize a place that houses animals confiscated by them. Therefore, the upkeep, maintenance, and care are minimal at best.
