Tip from our hostess. Was an evening trip. Because there were only two of us he asked if we could come earlier so we could help with the beazing of the bar (longline).
That was so done so sailed a few miles and turned off the bar.
Then fishing with the rod, only Mitsos and I fished, my wife enjoys the view and the beautiful sunset.
Small, yet sizeable, red snappers came up regularly.
We had no time to enjoy the drinks and mezzes because of the fishing despite the skipper's insistence to take something tasty hahaha. None of that! Am here to fish, no time for food hahaha.
Then together with Mitsos the bar landed.
Result 1 fat snapper, 2 blonde rays, 1 large Pieterman and 1 (venomous) sea snake. Last 2 were carefully removed by the skipper.
Back in the harbour I found no service and asked Mitsos if he could call us a taxi.
His answer was that he could do that, but that HE would take us back to our hotel in Naxos.
Great guy!!!
I have done many hundreds of trips with a boat all over Europe as a fanatic angler, but this trip definitely falls into my Top 10.
Oh yes, I walk with a walker, so I am not that mobile, but that was not only not a problem, Mitsos took that into account while fishing.
All in all enjoyed and can recommend it to anyone.

What a day with Dimitrios (Mitsos) and Nikolas. We booked the trip through Real Lesvos and have had the most wonderful day. It starts early, helping to bait up the long line.
After that, you go fishing for what will hopefully be on the BBQ later! Nickolas and Mitsos are so kind and easy to talk to. We were lucky to have just our party of 3 on the boat, so we could ask questions about the island more generally. We then sailed to Rabbit Island where we could snorkel and the food was prepared. The fish was incredible with fresh greek salad, olives, tzatziki and sausage. Nikolas also found octopus and we got the chance to hold some!!!
We were on the water from around 9-3 and just had the most wonderful time. Thank you for your amazing hospitality, I'd recommend this trip 1000 times over. This boat trip is excellent value for money.

I absolutely love these fishing trips! I try to go at least three times every time I come to Lesvos.
I was a complete fishing novice a few years ago but I have been and put the nets out myself and enjoyed several day trips and BBQs on rabbit island. Mitsos is very friendly and great fun and his son is an excellent host and explains everything really well.
This year, they added some new things, fishing with rods instead of drop lines and also using the long line.
I did an evening trip this time as well and it was brilliant. Being on the water for sunset was like a dream and coming back to Petra at night and seeing the village all lit up was just something else!
Hoping to fit one more trip in before I go home 🧡

The best fishing trip, boat trip I have ever tried. Small cozy boat with a maximum of 8 passengers. You get to try everything, put bait on the longlines before they are set out, watch the nets being pulled up, and then it's time to fish. Afterwards, the trip goes to Rabbit Island, where the fish is grilled while you swim, snorkel or sunbathe. And then there is lovely grilled fish for lunch with lovely side dishes. I sat out in the bow on the way home, with the captain's son Nicolas, who explained to me what we were sailing past. A perfect end to a perfect day ❤️🐬🐟⛵️

Wow I could not have imagined a better way to spend my birthday weekend. Captain Mitsos provided an incredible real and authentic fishing experience that was way beyond what I expected. A bespoke experience just for me. The Capatin has set trips you can choose from, but will also create tailor made excursions. He created something special over 2 days, teaching me how to put out the nets, long line fishing and fishing with a rod which I have never done before. He also took us to Rabbit Island which was stunning and an experience I will never forget. He provided a lovely lunch and cold drinks throughout both days. He went the extra mile meeting me first, finding out what I wanted and explaining everything I needed to know. He is very flexible with plans and worked around me and nothing was too much trouble. Captain Mitsos son, Nicholas was an absolute delight and knows everything there is to know as a fisherman's son. To top it all off we saw wild dolphins on the second day that swam along side us.
I really could not ask for more.
Thankyou Captain & Nicholas for making my birthday one I will never forget. See you next year.
