Worth strolling through. Very much like the gardens in Japan. Especially scenic because it is next to the lake.

Japanese STYLE garden, not an actual Japanese garden. The tea house and its attendent gardens are the best feature. Hedge is nice. The "it's all volunteers" thing isn't true. Professionals are paid to maintain it. That said, it is a nice place for a picnic and volunteers do their share to keep it beautiful.

Nice and peaceful garden. The tea house is beautiful, and the garden was easy to navigate. Entrance is by donation. Recommended for all ages.

This is a beautiful site. There seems to be some areas under repair or not working at this time. Admission is free/by donation. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the view, the garden, and a good book.

This beautiful garden right on the water is a lovely spot to rest and reflect. Very peaceful Japanese garden. Wish I had more time to sit, draw and listen to the quietness of this space. This could easily be missed but don’t, it’s in a residential area with a large park and boat launch near by.

We stumbled upon this place later in the evening. What a terrific surprise. Such a beautiful garden to walk around and enjoy. Going back this morning so we can see it in the daylight.

Always a lovely quiet little area to walk through or sit in, lake views r great. Beautiful gardens done by volunteers mostly. Nice reclaim for the years of Japanese internment camp in that area. Thank you New Denverites for this peaceful spot!

Many thanks for your appreciation. Yes, thousands of hours of volunteer time go into the Garden, and we receive no funding other than grants written by volunteers, donations by visitors, and membership fees. It is truly a labour of love, and we always welcome the acknowledgement.

Very nice garden in a beautiful location beside Slocan Lake. No entry fee. Some interesting trees and plants. Japanese in style. Located about 2 blocks (an easy walk) from the Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre. Lovely.

This was a pleasant surprise after visiting the Nikkei Memorial Center around the corner. This garden is like an oasis. Beautifully designed, it invites you to walk different paths, some of them leading to another spot, some ending blindly at a quiet spot to sit on a bench. A tea house, lily pond, and another water feature add to the magical quality of this place. Several paths lead to the shore of Lake Slocan, breathtakingly beautiful. Plus, it was a cool respite on a very hot summer day.

No, but donations are very welcome as the Garden is managed by volunteers and does not receive operation funds.
