Beautiful Habsburg residence of the 700, the visit of the interior is spread over several floors, very useful "detail areas" where the guides explain interesting passages concerning the history of the Villa, then leaving the freedom 'to visit independently.
Beautiful also the park where you can take pleasant walks.
Definitely worth a visit!

The Royal Villa is beautiful and with fittings that may or may not like, but are of a standard. The serious problem is getting from the parking lot to the Villa .. the path is kept terrible, the signs are contradictory and the ticket office is not marked. A bad business card. It's from the third world

The Royal Villa, built at the end of the eighteenth century, along with its gardens is one of Monza's most famous attractions. The visit to the villa takes place following an obligatory route that winds through the apartments on the first and second floors. The tour is semi-guided, in the sense that in some points of the route there are guides illustrating the next stretch of the route that you will then visit independently. Access to the villa is allowed in groups, every 15 minutes. The ticket offices are on the ground floor, under the staircase, where there are also toilets and the bistro. Very convenient parking within the park. Returning to the visit, it should be noted that, although in their majesty, the rooms are rather bare of furnishings, in the rooms on the second floor contemporary works of art have been installed that create an interesting contrast. To complete the visit it can be pleasant to take a walk in the gardens and rose garden or discover one of the temporary exhibitions that are regularly set up in the orangery. In this regard I found the exhibition on 800 Lombardo very interesting, scheduled until the beginning of September. Overall I found this site very interesting and well organized in offering excellent usability to visitors.

Of all the royal villas I have visited, this is the ugliest. Poorly maintained and stripped of almost all furnishings. The walls and ceilings were also a bit sparse for a royal villa. At the ticket office they had information leaflets only in English. I and other visitors asked if they didn't have them in Italian, and the lady at the tickets replied no with zero friendliness and availability. I can understand that the villa remained in a state of abandonment for several years, and has been almost completely restored, but nevertheless it remains a villa like one of the many country villas of lords in Lombardy.

an unmissable stop for a visit to Monza, considering both the historical importance of this structure and its relevance in Lombardy and Italy; the villa was built at the end of the 1700s during the Austrian period and is enormous, you can see this when visiting it; its most recent and well-known history is that of residence of the Savoys for about 40 years until the death of Umberto I, who is remembered in the nearby expiatory chapel; fortunately this historical and cultural heritage has been renovated and arranged in recent years and can be visited (preferably by booking on the site, especially on weekends); as I was saying, the structure is enormous and deserves at least an hour to visit, developing over several floors and hosting not only period furnishings and objects, but also temporary exhibitions; I also recommend wandering around the gardens at the back of the villa

One of the most beautiful royal villas in Italy, fabulous, richly decorated interiors and exteriors, in the middle of a beautiful park, the most beautiful thing in the city

Beautiful Villa. There are many rooms to visit. All very well structured. The guides were kind and prepared. The visit lasts 1 hour, maybe not much... the explanations given by the guides are sufficient for the visit: too many notions then become confusing. From the Villa the "telescope" perspective designed by Piermarini is excellent. Convenient parking. Nearby is the beautiful rose garden of the Villa, which I highly recommend. In the park of the Villa you may be lucky enough to see squirrels. The only flaw: furry friends cannot enter. The visit is highly recommended

The visit is worth it for the elegance of Piermarini's project. Inside, the interesting aspect is the inclusion of many contemporary works of art... which sometimes amaze or can outrage the visitor because they are placed in neoclassical environments. Yet it is a combination that does not clash.
The only flaw is that many visitors are entrusted to a single guide. Sometimes it is difficult to listen or remember the explanations because the transition from one environment to another is a little difficult.
Smaller groups and more guides would be better.

Very beautiful in its linear presentation (I would only improve the indications on access), and the entrance that welcomed us is remarkable.
The first guide that led us on the visit to the first floor, the noble one, was exhaustive, but unfortunately 1 hour to visit all 2 floors is really unacceptable. You can only run, run from one room to another... you cannot dwell in the slightest on worthy details, not all of them but some rooms, for example the paintings representing royalty, the floors, the gilding of the ceilings....... I understand the need of the business, but 1 hour would only be (and would not be enough) to be dedicated to the first floor, another to the second where the modern works on display are also found, the contrast of which next to real furnishings is truly stunning.
In my opinion, I believe that increasing the ticket price would guarantee a slower visit, giving the possibility of having more time to see, evaluate and understand how life took place in this delightful villa a century ago.

The Villa is very beautiful, immersed in its park (pity about the rain). The interiors are beautiful and the idea of positioning the guides along the route is excellent. Thus the explanation is exhaustive, but leaves everyone their time to observe calmly.
The only flaw, in my opinion, is having included the exhibition of modern works on the first floor. These works do not allow you to fully enjoy the beautiful environments, which in some cases are "engulfed" by the works on display, some, sorry, of dubious taste (cockroaches on display!?!?!)

La villa Reale è zone limitrofe non rientrano nella Ztl. Per quanto riguarda il divieto di transito ai veicoli euro 3 è meglio rivolgersi alla Polizia locale del luogo per maggiori chiarimenti
