Hi, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Below is the review that I did of Tuscanyex who we did the chianti classic tour with and has details of the 4 wineries that we visited. I did post this full review plus the 4 individual ones for the wineries but TripAdvisor seem to be not posting about every second review that I did an wont tell me why they were not posted. So here is the full review. Hope it helps. TuscanyEx Day Tours 5 stars Highlight of our stay in Tuscany – Claudia Your a Star We were going to be staying just out of San Gimignano and wanted to do a full day tour of the Chianti Classico wine region and have someone take us around so that we could drink and not have to drive as even without wine the Italian roads are an experience. After searching for quite some time I came across this company and emailed Claudia to see if she was available on any of the days we were going to be there and what she would recommend. I must say, Claudia was one of, if not the most professional people I have dealt with when trying to arrange anything concerned with travel or tours. Right from the start she provided us with options for the different areas, wineries, things do at the wineries, eating options including packing a picnic lunch if we wanted and which towns and villages we should see. Armed with all of the information and options we chose the Chianti Classico Gallo Nero Wine Tour and Claudia then arranged for us to visit the following 4 wineries all of which had something different to offer but given the time we only had tours planned at 2 of the 4 wineries and tastings at all 4. Wineries visited were: Antinori nel Chianti Classico This was our first winery of the day on our Chianti Classico Gallo Nero Wine Tour with Claudia and it definitely had the wow factor. The building is set into the hillside and as you enter the underground car park you feel like you have entered the secret hideaway of a James Bond Villain. The entire winery definitely has that wow factor and also has great views from the outdoor areas. This was a very interesting tour of the winery, starting with a video of the Antinori family history and also how this head office was built, followed by a tour of inside the winery itself and of course finishing with the wine tasting. Castello di Gabbiano This was our second winery of the day and was a more traditional winery that you would expect in Chianti. We were very lucky that here and were given a private tour of the Hotel and grounds as well being taken into the cellars and told about the history of both the winery and castle as Claudia knew someone who worked there and they made time out to show us through. After the unofficial tour it was time to wine taste and again the must try was the Chianti Classico Black Rooster and several more bottles of wine were purchased. Castello di Verrazzano This was our third winery of the day and our first stop after lunch. Castello di Verrazzano provides a great tour of the winery and cellars and we were also given a great insight not only into the original family and their navigational background but also about the area and the wild boars in particular which Tuscany is famous for. Finally we finished with a guided wine tasting and appreciation lesson along with so finger food to accompany the wines. The wines were good but I think we had been spoilt by the previous 2 that we had visited. Last tasting was the Balsamic Vinegar which was to die for. Monte Bernardi This was our fourth and final winery of the day and was a real surprise. This is a fairly small Husband and Wife run winery which also has cottages onsite where you can stay. Not as grand as the other wineries that we visited but very unique and we were made to feel very welcome as we learnt about the wine that they made and of course tried a few. So glad we visited this smaller winery with good wines, fantastic views and great hosts. After the second winery we also stopped in Greve for lunch and a short look and walk around and had time for quick visits to Panzano and Castellina which were also very picturesque towns. We had a fantastic but long day from 9am to 7pm and were picked up and dropped back at our villa by Claudia and her trusty 4WD visiting the Chianti region and trying the wines and thoroughly enjoyed it. I cannot recommend Claudia and this tour more highly. Just so sorry it has taken so long to put the review up.
