Great little theatre

Little gem in the middle of Colne, old fashioned theatre that puts on lots on shows by local talent, well priced little bar, this place gives you a warm feeling of days gone by

FABULOUS little theatre
Ornate
Extremely well organised
Great view from the balcony
Be aware this is not colne municipal theatre which is on the main road
Some people had gone to the wrong venue at first
Google before you go
Street parking is VERY limited suggest use car park behind the municipal walk round 5 minutes .

This theatre is a gem.
Again producing entertainment of the highest standard tonight me and my family went to aee Our House with songs by Madness.
Its a beautiful theatre. Well run and staff are to be praised for keeping tradition and high standards.
Bar prices are reasonable and they were busy tonight as running with an almost full house.
Keep up the good work

Les Miserable

Have been to the theatre on a number of occasions. It's a lovely old fashioned theatre small and intimate with all seating having good views of the stage.
Show was a youth group but was excellent and performance by all was stunning.
Theatre was extremely hot and stuffy and limited amount of toilets so long queues during interval but overall it's a nice place to see a show.

Craft Fair

Lovely old building which is well used by all. Craft fairs, school prize giving, amateur dramatics, ballet exams open to the public and shows to name a few. There’s refreshments food, tea, coffee or an alcoholic drink.
The craft fairs display a lot of local talent and something to suit everyone’s pocket a good place to stock up on gifts and cards.
Parking on the street or just off the main road 2 minutes away are 2 good size car parks which is more or less central to the town.
We’ve enjoyed a few evenings at this lovely old place.

Will definitely revisit

Visited with my Mum and Daughter to watch Annie. Didn’t realise this fabulous theatre existed! A fabulous building, the history hits you on entry. We booked after seeing advertisements as we drive through Colne. The Annie production was by the youth theatre and we were blown away. Such amazing talent and delivered with professionalism. Couldn’t believe there was live orchestra!! You could tell that this is a friendly venue lots of people knew one another, such a warm and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely keep our eye out for future productions. Thank you to all those that were involved in the production you were fabulous!!!

Needs to stand forever

OMG I cant believe there is just 4 reviews of this little beauty. I was in here twice a year for 5 years on the trot, to see my little girls junior school pantomime and end of year show. And buildings like this need to be kept at any cost as they are fast disappearing, and before we know it they will be gone forever and with it will come the pain of regret. This building is absolutely beautiful and the foyer and bar area are a delight. Takes me back to the 60's when my mum used to take me to the old cinema that burned down in Nelson. And yes I know we have to update and make way for progress, and some new buildings are stunning. But we have to keep our eye on little local treasures like this before they are all gone.
