我们刚开始的时候有点走在树林里有非常高的动物雕塑点缀着这如果买了,会往外看的地方在一个正常大小的花园。 但是做了一个被施了魔法的雕塑除了林地。 以下规定的路线,但在过去的12的第一座寺庙拍摄的切除查看修道院的废墟下面的景色。 Vista是每个有自己的站。 最后的寺庙有很多具体营业时间到里面查看它的壁画。 绝对值得一去和一个晴朗的日子可以很容易地外出野餐。

Peace and tranquility

A hot day in June and the views were spectacular.
The terrace was tranquil and as it was late in the day when we arrived, there were very few visitors.
We will return.

Gorgeous Ceiling

It doesn't take very long to walk around it but there are really lovely views and it was interesting looking down at the Rivielaux Abbey as you walked along the grassed terrace between each temple. You couldn't go in one of the Temples but could have a look through the windows and there was a mirror to help you see the ceilings better. The other temple however is gorgeous and you can go inside and have a look at the beautiful ceiling and some furniture with a table laid out with a colourful table service. The owner lived at Duncombe House a couple of miles away and decided to build the temples and grassy terrace to impress guests as he took them for a drive through in a carriage. Don't miss having a look at the exhibition underneath this temple.

Helpful staff. Lovely walk through the woods on a well maintained path. Beautiful views down to Rievaulx Abbey from the Terrace. The temples are interesting and the guide in the Ionic Temple very informative about the furniture and decor which is surprisingly intact. A little difficult to find but it is signed off the main road and there is ample parking when you get there. It isn’t open every day so we felt fortunate to visit on a clear, sunny, spring morning.

Absolutely fantastic

Well worth a visit, we spent a couple of hours here with a stop in the cafe. The staff are extremely knowledgable and helpful. Well worth a visit

Lovely summer afternoon stroll

Currently you are asked to prebook and it's only open the first weekend in the month, although when we were there on a Sunday afternoon the car park was perhaps half full. Great views and top rate staff to meet and greet. They hope to open more often and allow access to the temples later this year.

Fascinating story - the site was built purely for entertaining, it has never been a home - consumption on the grand scale! Now a lovely, basically flat walk: allow 45 minutes -or longer if you take a picnic.

Welcome back, you were missed

Delighted to be finally able to visit this gem again. Just what we need as we start to leave this unpleasant experience. Was closed for all of last year which was regrettable. Hopefully, this does not happen again as best endeavors should be made to keep this vital piece of nature open. It offers a lovely walk through woodland, delightfully peaceful and then nice views of the Abbey which thankfully was open for much of last year.

Delightful visit

The grounds ae in excellent condition and the banks of primroses and cowslips, with some orchids are looking good. A pity that now only open 2 days per month. Perhaps more openings could be considered in the spring for the flowers which are quite special?

Great views

Currently closed as it is National Trust - but when it reopens well worth a visit.
Great views over Rievaulx Abbey & 2 follys that are well worth a visit.

Nice Walk

This is a nice easy walk with good views of the Abbey. If the little temples are open they are worth a look. Nearby Helmsley is worth a visit.
