Had an absolutely amazing time exploring the cave! Our guide, Mike, was absolutely excellent - he was really informative and had a great sense of humour. It was fascinating to learn about the cave and all the elements inside it. Lots of stunning sights inside.
The cafe also had fantastic food, we both had a toastie and my partner said it was one of the best ones he'd ever had!
We also really liked the public-relations officer, Stella! ❤️🐶

The caves were amazing 🤩! We took a lot of pictures and it was perfectly preserved! All of the staff were lovely and especially our tour guide Alison.

Pretty unique experience. You’ll want to be reasonably ambulent as there are a few bits you have to stoop. The kids loved it. Mike, the guide, was great!

Family fun for a Sunday afternoon. Beautiful scenery. Cave enjoyed by all ages. Staff were lovely. Cafe was very cosy and shop was cute. Would recommend. Upcoming Christmas events seem to be fun and staff were putting lots of effort into making it magical

We really enjoyed our underground tour and seeing the incredible rock formations, underground river (very active on our visit) and the lake. We had a very informative guide who gave a very good insight into the history of the cave and the different rock formations. The cave has very good, safe walkways and the access is excellent, but the tour retains a sense of adventure with the boom of the underground waterfall and the river roaring under the grating beneath your feet. Thoroughly recommended.

We were taken round by a wonderful lady who was fantastically knowledgeable and funny. She explained how these caves formed, and how they were discovered. So much to see, ancient waterfalls, different types of stalactites (who knew)! Definitely needed the hard hat provided as there is some bending double to get through some of the walkways but a thoroughly interesting time for all.

Had a great time underground with our guide David. He’s extremely professional with the perfect balance of education and fun so the tour was never dull! Would definitely recommend to others, thankyou!

The best experience! And it was all thanks to our tour guide Mike. He was very informative, humorous and overall great throughout the tour. As someone who doesn’t enjoy tours often, Mike made it so interesting and it was definitely the best one i’ve been too! Thankyou Mike!

Our tour guide, Tim, was great. He led us through the caves for an engaging and enjoyable experience for everyone. We had high rainfall the night before which made the experience even better, due to the volume of water running through the caves. We would highly recommend.

This was a truly breathtaking, fascinating experience. Our teenager went from not being very keen to go to having loved it. Our female guide was really well-informed and interesting and added to the experience. Highly recommended. There is a bit of ducking and some steep steps in places but nothing beyond the ability of fit enough adults and children

Umm, I dont think so. Neither did I see any one else bringing their pets to the cave. As the cave is very narrow and ceilings low, I would strongly advice not taking your pet along. However the cafe outside the cave is per-freindly

My father in law is 80. He can generally walk more than 2 miles. He has history of heart disease. Will the tour be suitable for him?

There are a lot of narrow passages and low ceilings where even I had to bend (5'2") half my height and pass through .
I am not sure if having him on the tour will be such a great idea, also there's a flight of stairs that need to be climbed in order to access the last leg of the cave ..

It depends on how busy the cave is. Sometimes a large group will be split to make two smaller groups, each with a guide.

Yes, but not for 2 years old. Carrying child in some places is too difficult. There are narrow step steps barely for two people to pass.

Is it OK to bring the dogs? Would they be allowed in the Caves?

I am sure dogs are not permitted inside the caves. Check the web site.

No. Although the first part of cave is wider and more level than the rest of it, so you can always come back when it become too difficult. The walking stick might be going constantly through the grate, like a dogs paws.
But even the first part is worth an effort.
