Great Distillery Visit experience

2023年3月

Visited the distillery in early March and was taken on a private tour of the privately owned casks by Victoria and then later a tour of the distillery by Ian. Both were very helpful and most knowledgeable and made the tours very interesting. Victoria explained the process and the reasons for purchasing a private cask. The distillery tour included 5 samples of different products, but as a driver I was given a take away sample of "A Man of Sword" which I sampled to my delight at home. I've been on many a distillery tour, and normally they are really all the same, but Ian included a lot of history about the distillery and although the process is the same, it was by far the most interesting I have had. Afterwards I met up with my wife and we had a beautiful light lunch in the on site cafe which is immaculately laid out with bespoke timber tables and seating. It was very spacious and dog friendly with its very own dog menu. Definately will return and much to be recommended.

Distillery tour

Visited the distillery today but had something to eat before the tour, a Scottish breakfast, really tasty and reasonable price for what we got. Iain took us on the tour and we found it very informative, enjoyed every minute (husband especially liked the tasting 😁) Would recommend the tour, very enjoyable.

Great tour with fab food

The tour was really informative and kept light and interesting by Adele our tour guide. Great tasting whiskies and fab food after in their on site cafe. Good value and well worth a visit.

Well worth a visit, even for a non-whisky drinker!

Went on the distillery tour with 2 friends, while partners went for a walk in the local area with our dogs. Tour was very enjoyable and informative. Our guide Adele was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, even though she hadn't been there very long. Iain was also very helpful in the shop, and patient while making choices to purchase. Can also highly recommend the cafe - quality of the food and choices available (even though it was late in the day) was fabulous, and great that the cafe is dog friendly. It's worth a visit for the cafe alone, if you're in the area

Tour with Frederick

Had a very enjoyable tour with Frederick. It was only myself and my daughter on the tour, but he was very informative, chatty and upbeat throughout. A very young distillery with a choice of peated or unpeated single malt. I took a driver's dram of the peated whisky away to enjoy later. Being a tour guide in a whisky distillery myself, I'm always keen to learn something new from fellow experts, and this tour was no exception! Highly recommended, the history of the buildings themselves is fascinating!

Fabulous looking site, enjoyed the whole experience, friendly and knowledgeable guide, loved the history, delicious whiskey, the restaurant also was very nice with a special menu for dogs! Such a good idea!

Well worth a visit

A wee hidden gem! I have to admit that I hadn't heard of Annandale, and we decided on a whim to pop in after seeing signs on the road home from a trip to Durham. Delighted that we did! The site itself is beautiful, and the building has been beautifully restored with lots of local woodworking and metalworking. The cafe was wonderful, with a great menu - and a special dogs' menu! Very reasonable too!
We went for the tour and, as we were the only people who had booked, we were treated to a personal tour by Adele (not that Adele!) She was really good: very knowledgeable and well-prepared, and able to answer all our questions. Thanks for a great tour, Adele!

Wonderful tour given by Dave! Such a unique distillery with a fascinating history. Really appreciate their support of the local community and their genuine desire to educate folks on their whiskey. Couldn’t recommend more!

You must visit this place, even if you don't like whiskey!

I cannot praise this place enough. I wanted to take my dad who is in a wheelchair, I emailed Iain who explained how he would support him accessing the tour through either a VR system or a laptop so he wouldn't miss out. The tour was very informative with a fair bit of whiskey to try. We also booked in for afternoon tea which was out of this world. The lunch menu also looked very good. Well worth a visit even if its for coffee in the beautifully renovated cafe. £12mil well spent!

Annandale Distillery- well worth a visit

We went on the tour of the distillery. Grant, our guide, was an excellent guide; informative and answered questions well. Very impressive restoration of the original distillery. Wonderful wood and metal work. Cafe, outstanding. Dog friendly; loved the Dog Menu
