Spent the day with a couple of friends walking along the stalls. What a great variety of art and crafts. Very friendly peoples. We had wonderful weather and there was a parade of the Waka teams. It was all very exciting. Lovely shops too. What a beautiful region.

A nice market but the Soggy Bottom pies were the absolute worst pie I have ever had. Advertised as pork pies, meat looked like old racehorse meat, was a ball of meat that fell out of mostly uncooked pastry along with a lot of liquid, no thickening in the pie meat at all. Nobody was shopping at this stall. Now I know why! A real disappointment. If nobody is shopping at a stall, don’t shop there.

food....yummy food. great coffee... excellent cornish pasties.... fresh vegies...salmon and meat is top of the range and the saurcrout is just delicious.

This market really surprised me. The quality of the food was highly variable but the sellers seemed to assume locally grown meant more nutritious? The prices were well above market rates too. I will not bother going again.

We are lovers of all things markets, whether they be, car-boot/flea/growers etc. This Saturday farmers market, (8am to noon) has a real village feel about it, music playing, plenty of seating, many stall sellers, offering an assortment of wares, and tastings, the lettuce man was our fave, 5 bucks for a paper bag full of green goodies, the rocket is so peppery, perfect in a salad. All in all a perfect way to enjoy a sunny Saturday morning.

Here there is so much delicious food to get. Nice to see so many locals selling their things here. This is well worth a visit!

Amazing innovative ideas with special twists with food. Organic options. Can be cold from April through to Nov as part of the market is in shade. Sometimes there are musician who great a great atmosphere and a place to sit and enjoy the ambiance

Unfortunately this is not the picture of the Farmers Market which is held every Saturday morning at Victoria Square under the beautiful oak Trees, .. a circle of produce tents ranging from cultured butters to raw honey and hydroponic greens, fresh eggs, straight from the oven breads, freshly roasted coffee beans, and cups of coffee , even with recyclable crockery mugs! There is always musical entertainment and a wonderful village atmosphere.. it is a must every week for fresh fruit and veges or if you are passing through, come taste the fresh organic blueberry waffles and cream, then wander down through the town for your boutique shopping.
