An easy climb. Beautiful views at the top. Keep an eye out for photo worthy fairy toadstools in the pine forest.

One hour return hike under a shady forest to the lookout. The walk to the peak is all uphill but is not steep - it meanders around in a zig-zag fashion. I was a little disappointed by the promised 360 degree views however. The majority of the town is blocked from view by tall pine trees. Still a worthwhile short hike.

Walked from the town. The road is VERY steep, but once in the forest there is a zig zag climb to the summit. Unfortunately the trees have grown really high and the town can no longer be seen from the summit but the view of the surrounding area is worth the climb

Walked 5th Nov 2022.
Wow, what a cool track, the redwoods and the width of the track make you feel like you are in an alpine town un America and you are waiting for some bear to come out.
Such a gentle incline zig zagging the hill, and it’s in shade so that makes it great.
Totally easy for kids and others who aren’t great walkers, the views are a total pay off.
We walked back down the Majuba track side.

good walk for us in our late 50s... it's an easy walk taking around an hour, fabulous views, we travelled there in mid October. beware though it will be fully snowed in winter!

We took a morning walk up the hill, after some light rain the night before. The walk up and back down again, with around 10 minutes at the lookout point took 55 minutes. The track was boggy in places which made for some slippery patches. Wear shoes that grip well, not jandals. But it's a really good walk, not excessively challenging, just enough to let you know you've walked up a hill. The view at the top is great, and the birds in the trees a delight.

This was a relatively easy walk and the view was beautiful from the top. We went in winter so there was some snow and the mountains looked beautiful. The way down wasn’t particularly well signposted though. I would recommend doing this walk though.

An easy walk taking about an hour. Great views from the top. We went with a friend who hated climbing hills and she even enjoyed it. Suitable for all the family.

Good hike up and yes up ! Plenty of shade in the trees , a bit disappointed with the view as so many larger trees had grown and blocked out views .
Yes it’s worth doing and a great safe place to hike ( good wide tracks and sheltered )

I think you may be looking at a Giant fir (over 50 metres Tall). there are also Western Hemlock, Lawson's Cypress, Japanese Cypress, Atlas Cedar and Laburnum, Ponderosa Pine(over 40 metres),and Douglas Fir. On the flat in the Woodland Walk off Jollies Pass Rd you will find many excellent labeled specimen trees planted 80 to 100 years ago.
