In 1933 Albert Einstein lived here in exile with Elsa. In Shakespearlaan No. 5, where they received numerous celebrities, they lived for a few months. On September 9, 1933, both Trips out of fear of an assassination attempt and fled to London.
Beyond the promenade, De Haan is a beautiful seaside resort that dates back to the Belle Epoque period. In 1889 King Leopold II made strict building regulations for an English and a German urban planner. Only villas with Anglo-Norman style gardens were allowed to be built. There are many beautiful villas and gardens to see, even in the small side streets.
De Haan is very easy to reach by train, which stops right in the center. The railway line runs along Belgium's coasts.

If you are in the village you can definitely stop by and take a picture with the monument. Since it is in a small meadow, in a quiet place and there are also other benches to sit on, you can relax there for a good few minutes.

At the corner of a few streets behind the main street park, you will find the statue of Albert Einstein. Ideal place to capture your visit to the beautiful seaside resort of Le Roq (De Haan).

Zuerstmal die Koordinaten Pr. Astridlaan 25B, 8421 De Haan, Belgien.
Da ich gelesen habe das es kaum einer Findet.
Schöner Platz hier und das Denkmal wunderschön. Belgien ist schön und der Strand sehr Sauber.

Leider nicht gefunden,da nirgends Hinweisschilder in dem kleinen Ort hierzu sind.Touristinformation an der Bahnstrecke.

Not a lot to say. A statue of Albert Einstein in a small piece of land a few minutes away from the town centre. We went on a hot day. The seat was rather hot.

Auf der Suche nach einem Parkplatz war die Statue von Albert Einstein plötzlich zu sehen. Für ein kurzes Selfie ist die Statue ideal. Spannend auch die Geschichte dazu, dass Einstein vor seiner Emigration in die Schweiz in DeHaan wohnte.

Wie der Titel schon sagt. Klein und unscheinbar. Wären beinahe vorbei gefahren. Nett aber muss man nicht extra von weit dort hinfahren
