The Geiranger Church is set in a beautiful setting on the banks of the fjord. The church is octogonal and has a cemetery around it, this is quite common in Norway.

From the excursion, we were offered the possibility to visit this church, but it was closed and we could not see it inside, if I could see the cemetery and little else.

This church is well worth a visit. Gorgeous building set in lovely, well maintained grounds, with spectacular views across the fjord. My only negative is how disrespectful some people are with regard to the graves in the church grounds. They were trampling all over them without showing any respect at all. It is no wonder places are getting fed up of tourists when they behave like this.

Amazing view over the fjord. It was worth the walk from the dock, even though the inside was closed the day we visited. It was neat to walk the grounds and very peaceful.

Well I though this would be a killer climb but it was difficult at all. Misty weather but the view was worth it. This church was gorgeous and positioned nicely. Beautifully kept gravestones too

I wasn't able to go into the church but the outside of the church is great with the background of Geiranger. The grounds were nice and kept up.

We were only able to admire this from the bus. The weather was terrible and it wasn't open. It was nice to view from afar.

Pięknie położony, nieco powyżej lustra wody fiordu. Był zachęcająco otwarty. W środku moją uwagę zwrócił model łódki wiszący pod sufitem. Ciekawe, czy to symbol Łodzi Piotrowej, czy lokalnej łódki, pływającej po fiordach.

Petite église qui surplombe le fjord, les photos sont automatiquement réussies, il faut monter un peu à pied, mais cela vaut le coup !!!
