Biglietto d'ingresso d'importo contenuto e sconto per studenti. Si visita il piano nobile, accompagnati, con sale spiegate attraverso audio guida, compresa nel prezzo del biglietto. Lo scaglionamento delle visite, una ogni mezz'ora, permette di non affollare le varie sale. Buona scelta. la visita del giardino, a fine percorso, è libera. Merita veramente di essere visitato.

Palazzo Piccolomini con il giardino pensile sicuramente meritano di essere visitate, peccato che la "visita guidata" non sia una vera e propria visita guidata: la "guida" si è limitata ad accompagnarci e a indicarci il tasto da digitare sull'audioguida. Inoltre sollecitava il passaggio da una sala all'altra senza che i visitatori avessero il tempo di soffermarci nella visita. Per noi è stata un'esperienza deludente, alla "turismo mordi e fuggi".

Nice palace, but they rush you through it. No time to have a good look. It’s also a shame that you get an audio your, instead of a real tour. A little disappointing.

Lo bueno del palacio es el propio edificio, el jardín y las vistas hacia la campiña toscana desde la galería del primer piso. El interior no guarda ninguna obra de arte, más bien parece que son los trastos de la familia que no se quisieron llevar. Los cuadros de mala calidad. Téngase en cuenta antes de pagar la entrada a la visita guiada y cronometrada.

Purtroppo non siamo riusciti a visitare nessun Palazzo o Museo a Pienza semplicemente perché avevamo con noi la nostra cagnolina di 20 kg. E non fanno entrare cani......esperienza bruttissima.

The third time I’ve stayed at this hotel. It never disappoints. The staff is wonderful with the rooms are beautiful. Love staying here and recommended highly to anyone

Woman accompanied us from room to room intoning the number of the page on the audio wand that provided the appropriate category. Absolutely not the tour to go on if you have a youngish child in tow. Palace is beautiful and has the classic Pienza view

Il palazzo e' bellissimo ed organizzato in modo perfetto per la visita. Gli arredi sono molto belli e la modalità di visita, incentrata su gruppi accompagnati con l'ausilio dell'audio guida, funziona bene.
Ci si cala in modo totale nell'atmosfera rinascimentale, finendo con il giardino che si apre sulla valle

Se il palazzo è un vero e proprio gioiello del Rinascimento, le sue stanze conservano ancora molto degli arredi che ci catapultano senza sforzo in un viaggio nel tempo che si conclude con il giardino all'Italiana che si affaccia sulla suggestiva Val D'orcia.

A small museum, you can only visit with a guide (more like a guard, but you get an audio device to listen to explanations) and the tour part lasts 30 min. It is not cheap - 12 for an adult and 8 EUR for a student and you have 14 stops/rooms.
However you can explore and stay in the gardens as long as you would like. The gardens have the most amazing view of the Val d'Orchia.
We loved that the museums gives an impression of how the noble families must have lived in the 15-16 century (sadly nothing about the life of the servants), their furniture, interests etc.
The people at the museum were really friendly and the bookshop had a great selection of relevant books and even some Italian cosmetics.
However you can explore and stay in the gardens as long as you would like. The gardens have the most amazing view of the Val d'Orchia.
