Have been bringing my grandchildren here since they were babies and it’s always a bit special.
Very nice gentle Christmas experience meeting Santa (especially for those little ones who are a bit scared of Santa).
As we went on Christmas Eve we missed the reindeer as they were getting ready for the big night!
Chance to see the owls and a few other farm friends too.
Recommended

We had an amazing “Santa Experience” at Ray’s Farm for our baby’s first Christmas … it was really well set up, organised and manned to feel really special and individual. Our Santa visit was followed by some yummy hot chocolates from the café and a nice look round the animals. There were goats, pigs, Guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, horses, owls, deer and of course … Frosty the reindeer! My partner particularly enjoyed the collection of owls! I particularly liked the unspoilt nature of Ray’s farm and the fact it wasn’t a crowded visit! We will be returning again. Bravo Ray’s Farm!

Really enjoyed our family visit to take our precious grandson to see Santa. The Santa experience was excellent. The grotto or Santa's room was beautifully done, the Chief Elf did her best to build up the anticipation and Santa was lovely with the children. We loved how all the family could visit Santa and Santa's talk to the children (and adult believers!) was very well done. Santa making sure he singled out every child for a little chat before moving on to the important selection of a gift and actually getting up close to the great man. Our grandson (19 months old) had cried at previous Santa visits, but we think because of the time allowed for each child to get to know Santa before getting close to him really helped, he even gave Santa a Hi 5 before we left!!
We had hot baps and drinks in the Tea Room and the complimentary mulled wine went down well.
The only downside we felt was the limited quantity of animals on view due to the winter season.
We will certainly be returning in the spring to show our grandson the rest of the farm and it's animals.

Our holiday in Shropshire, with the grandchildren, wouldn't be the same without a visit to Rays Farm. The whole family love it especially getting up close to the Pygmy goats. On our visit this autumn we were able to choose a pumpkin from the large pumpkin patch and go for a walk in the wood visiting the nursery rhyme characters on the way. We also followed the pumpkin trail and received prizes at the end, all this as well as seeing all the wonderful animals and birds and being able to feed lots of them. Its a lovely place for children young and old alike and definitely a special place for my family

The trail through the woods hunting for clues engraved onto pumpkins was lovely. Our grand daughter who is 6 absolutely loved the gnomes and the fairy ring. She was totally engrossed in hunting down the clues. The trail takes you all around the farm and I imagine in the summer is full of wild flowers as there are lots of notices explaining the various plants. Also many picnic benches around which we couldn't take advantage of as it was a typical damp October day. The animals were all out for her to see, we had hot chocolate and pumpkin biscuits in the cafe which were delicious and our grand daughter worked out the final clue herself and went and claimed her goody bag. All in all a wonderful morning i would highly recommend.

Came here with my son and hubby for a birthday treat. The pygmy goats were my favourite and Pollyanne the donk. The woodland walk was so pretty. Will return with the grandchildren.

We have visited Rays Farm twice now, and I had forgotten what a lovely place it is, it’s not been over crowded both times we have visited.
I don’t know of anywhere else in Shropshire that you can get so close to the goats, all animals seem happy and well cared for.
Staff are all helpful especially the young chap on reception.
We will definitely be back again soon.

The walks were amazing with lots to see. We fed the animals and had such a fun time doing so, we feel it’s 100% worth the price. There was a lovely male member of staff who explained some fun facts about the guinea pigs and the goats! The llamas were so fun and we found feeding them an experience we’ll never forget! Most members of staff (all but one) were extremely friendly and made the experience so worth while. We did feel as though we were slightly spoken down to by one member of staff but this could have just been their personality. We also felt the owl enclosures were really sad as they were quite small, some with 2-3 owls in each. Another review says similar as owls do live for quite a while, we did feel quite saddened by this, hence the 4/5. Would definitely recommend for families as lots for the kids to do!

Second time back this year and can't wait to go back again. Got to feed the animals this time and we all had a great time. Something for all ages, animals are loved and well looked after. The people who run the farm are full of knowledge about the animals and make the visit very special. Highly recommended.

Honestly amazing been here 3 times and never disappointed..local farm ..chickens run around free ..you can feed the goats and get up close.it’s just so peace full there , staff are amazing don’t bother you at all .polite and friendly the a cafe honestly it’s amazing the food is quality and the hot chocolate is the best perfect .
They have a sand pit for the kids added bonus and a small soft play area to.
Everything is clean and well looked after
Also have a souvenir shop
