if you give a kish tour in the end of your tour go to KARIZ a tunnel in underground about 16 meters under the surface that in the old time protected water for drink and consumptions of natives people of kish island in the HORMOZGAN province of IRAN and can you hear Iranian traditional music in the end of visit .

A kinda new experience here.
If u are interested I historical paces , that would be a good choice . An underground old town where is amazing to spend some time . There is also a beautiful lovely Cafe out there which u can have your Chai and enjoy the place

The worst repair of an old building one can do. They actually ruined it.
Apart from the fact that they cover the wall with new material, the objects they put under the light as decoration doesnt fit the place.

I don't recommend Kariz to visit. I think it wastes the time.
Despite of a small muesem, there is no other wonderful attraction.
The entrance ticket is too expensive with no option for tourguides!

if U wanna see the vernacular architecture of Kish this is one of the places to see. at some points the renovation is not good, but it worth seeing it. I assume it should be much pleasant during the warmth.

“Kariz” is a name for a place to refine water of sea. As we all know the sea water is much salty. Ancient Iranians finds a way to refine water by crossing its path through coral and Marl mud. There is a complicated water path underground with about 15 kilometer lengths and 14 meter depth.
There is 6 “Payab” for indigenous to bring refined water up.
All the underground way was covered with 200-570 million years old clams, fossils and shells.
Don’t miss it anyway.

It will be a good and interesting experience to walk in the tunnels covering with fossils of sea creatures, and also discover how inhabitant of the island collect purified water.
