First off, my sincerest apologies to Christina because this review is so late. My wife and I attended Christina's cooking class in October of 2022.
The whole night was absolutely perfect!! When we arrived, the hotel hostess greeted us as if we were old friends and showed us around. We walked the grounds of the hotel and vineyard, which were beautiful, and then we were brought right to Christina's outdoor kitchen. Christina and her entire staff greeted us like old friends, with big hugs, and talked to us like we had known each other for years, from the moment we arrived until the late hour when we left. Our wine glasses were NEVER empty. The amazing wines they produce onsite were poured into our glasses constantly by a couple friendly and beautiful members of Christina's staff. We were treated like we were the most important people in the world, and with the most genuine attitudes imaginable.
Christina got to know us and told us about herself while she did some prep work and explained to us what she was doing. She made it clear that we were going to learn how to make traditional Argentine empanadas through hands-on experience. And it was such a great experience that we loved. She taught us how to properly select the different meats, trim them, prepare the vegetables, and chop quickly like a professional chef (without cutting our fingers off). We began cooking all the different fillers for the empanadas. Then we prepared the dough from scratch with her, learned how thick to roll it and why, and how to cut out the perfect sized circles. We filled MANY empanadas and learned the proper way to pinch them closed so they don’t open during cooking.
While the empanadas were cooking in the parrilla, we moved on to making the chimichurri sauce from scratch and selecting the cuts of steak. We cooked them in the parrilla and also roasted vegetables and baked potatoes in there. We snacked on many of our delicious empanadas with Christina and her staff while the steaks cooked. The steaks by the way, were very thick and prime cuts of Argentine beef. They were very lean and Christina’s delicious but minimal seasoning made them melt in our mouths. We had a delicious dessert after dinner, with yes, more excellent Malbec.
Our experience that night with Christina and her staff felt like a family gathering that you look forward to doing every weekend with the closest members of your family. We were truly sad to leave at the end of the evening. Christina gave us commemorative aprons with cute little birds on them, that we actually wore all night and got very dirty. I didn’t realize how much of the work we were going to do but it was so much fun!! She did tell us that cooking class attendees can opt out of most of the cooking, but we wanted to learn everything, so she brought us behind her cooking station and taught us like a pro.
Our steaks were so big and there was so much food, so Christina’s staff packaged up everything for us to take home to our AirBnB. NOTHING went to waste!! We finished the steaks and fixin’s the next night with empanadas and we ate empanadas for the next several days.
If you visit Mendoza YOU MUST attend Christina’s Cooking Class. If you don’t attend Christina’s Cooking Class, then you have truly missed one of the greatest Argentine experiences in the whole country. Thank you SO MUCH, Christina!!!

WOW WOW WOW Christina’s cooking class was amazing. The food was incredible, the wine never stopped flowing and the location was 10/10. Christina did such an amazing job as well, Stefi gave us an amazing tour of the property and we couldn’t have been more happy. Highly recommend that you do this experience!

Cristina Brino is an incredibly talented chef with a charming and funny personality! The dinner was not only delicious but also lots of fun!
Cristina makes everyone feel so welcome, relaxed and at home. Our group was 2 Americans, 2 Brazilians and a Swiss (everyone spoke English) and we all got along so well and had a wonderful evening together!
The covered outdoor kitchen/dining area is beautiful. Everyone sat on stools at a counter sipping delicious Malbec as we were instructed and entertained by Cristina as she prepared our meal.
The empanadas were amazing and the steak was the best I ate during our trip to Argentina. The chimichurri sauce was fantastic, and I actually used Cristina's recipe and made it myself last night!
I would highly recommend spending an evening with Cristina Brino. You will learn something about Argentine cooking, be entertained by a wonderful woman, meet new people and enjoy a delicious meal and fantastic wine in a beautiful setting!

I learnt how to make an Angentinian assado (barbecue) and delicious empanadas! Cristina is so likable and funny! At the end we eat the empanadas and the Assado. So much food! And so delicious! Loved it!

This was the best thing we did in Mendoza after having it recommended by other friends. Christina is so fun to cook with and be around plus the food was incredible. It's more of a cooking "demonstration" than a class where you actually cook your own food but that was fine by us since we dove pretty deep into the unlimited wine.

The cooking class with Cristina was an intimate, engaging experience and the perfect was for my wife and I to spend our first evening at Finca Adalgisa. Cristina did a wonderful job explaining how she makes each dish and each one tasted amazing. The wine provided throughout the class and dinner was also top-notch.

We visited the Mendoza area and were very pleasantly surprised at the gem of accommodation we had! And while there we discovered there was a cooking class in the evening (2 spots available!) followed by dinner. It was delicious and so much fun. We made empanadas, chimichurri, watched Cristina Grill our HUGE steaks to perfection along with lots of vegetables. The wine flowed freely and the chatter nonstop. Wonderful! I would not hesitate to do it again.

We stayed at Villa Adalgisa with our two daughters in May and took the cooking class with Cristina. It was Amazing! she adjusted the class so our daughters could participate and we loved it. The food and wine were great. We took notes and already applied some of the tips she gave us at home.

This was by far our favorite meal of the entire trip to Argentina. Cristina taught us so much about what goes into an authentic Argentinian meal. It is more of a demonstration than a cooking class, so do not think you will be doing the chopping. However, you do get to sit back, relax, enjoy lots of wine, and be entertained by learning from Cristina's class.

How to you see available times/price and reserve? The website doesn’t show it

We used the address at Finca Adalgisa. This site will not let us use the actually site that we used....don’t know why. Also look up Christina Brino We had a fun, fabulous time with her. She teaches at a lovely small hotel that has its own grapes. You will not be disappointed. FYI. It is more a demonstration than hands on except for the empanadas. Hope you enjoy it.
