Beautiful beach near Rethymnon. Ca. 3.5km long, not overcrowded and free sunbeds (for example if you buy something to drink at the bar). When we were there, the sea was fantastically calm. No waves. Great water! I would definitely stay again.

Very welcoming beach. Compared to many other beaches with free sunbeds incl. umbrellas. Affordable taverns with clean toilets. Wooden changing rooms and showers to rinse the salt water from the skin. Perfectly equipped with parking and not crowded. Highly recommended! Flatly sloping, slightly gravelly in the inlet area of the sea, but then fine sandy again.

Discovered the beach by chance on the way to Chania and went there again the next day.
Just fantastic!! In pre-season totally empty, super clean, relaxing and with the beach clubs (we stayed at Sirokos Taverna, free sunbeds, daybed only 15€/day) just perfect.
I would definitely go there again.

We only chanced upon this beach when we past it on the main road, wish we had found it sooner as it was really nice. We used the beach chairs next to Margaritari restaurant and never had to pay for them all day!!
It can get a bit windy and the sea gets rough but the guards just make sure you don't swim out too far.

Episcopi is a very long beach (over 2 hrs to walk one way), but we were around the centre, at Chrysos Asterias. There are other beach clubs nearby. Water is clear and clean. Mostly sandy but there are occasional patches of pebbles in a few areas where we walked, not swimming. If the wind comes from the west or north it can be a bit rough, but not enough to prevent swimming. We really enjoyed it. Sunbeds were €7/per set which is very good value, and comfortable. The waiter service is good.

Great sandy beach huge.
Of course, we had what we had in Meltemia which had a lot of waves, but still it's great, you can play with the waves, it depends on how you see it.

Beach nice, endless, clean! Long distance between the beachbars, relax! No annoying music, welcoming people, cleanliness and ... only the sound of the waves is heard

Endless sandy beaches with several passages for access by car and on foot. Canteens offer free sunbeds with the purchase of soft drinks. Suitable for children {the first meters of sea are quite shallow}. About 40 minutes from Chania after GEORGIOUPOLI and 25 minutes from Rethymnon.

Great sandy beach, not so many people (no hotels nearby), good tavernas and shallow water with nice waves. There is big space for parking.

Situé en bord de route, cette grande plage n'est pas la plus belle mais reste charmante. Elle reste également pratique grâce à son emplacement. Il est facile de s'y arrêter vite fait pour un petit plongeon lors d'un trajet d'un point à un autre.
