Unlike previous reviews, the Guide (Roberto?) was very capable with children. True, sometimes a bit of questionable humour has been used, but it cannot be said that he is not engaging, that he does not know the subject or that he is a boring person.

Interesting to understand how paper was born and all the processes to make a sheet. You cannot imagine what work there has been re-entry and how it has improved over the years, without making a visit to this museum. The children then did the workshop and took home their own sheet made as they used to. I would like to write a positive note to Claudia, our Guide, who with sympathy and historical knowledge, made the visit even more pleasant and interesting.

Unfortunately for us the visit to the museum was a bad experience that we will never repeat, I state that as we all paid the ticket and we were not told that the children could not participate in the Guided Tour, the guide Roberto really rude person and in bad taste, he "explained" with that "humor" and expressing his political ideologies instead of worrying about doing his job well; as soon as the visit began my 2 and a half year old girl asked me to be taken in my arms to see what he was talking about, we were literally kicked out because he the children disturb (even if he had run and screamed at the top of his lungs) my husband went out visited the museum independently and returned for the last explanation our girls who had not seen each other for 1 hour now sat close and laughed, we were chased away like thieves being told that he did not want to repeat himself and that he had already sent us away once. We left disappointed and angry, we reported what happened to the girl at the ticket office who apologized in every way giving some thoughts to the children and proposing to repeat the visit with another Guide.

Great experience and so much to discover about the history of paper! Chiara, the Guide my group had, is very good and explained in a really engaging way from start to finish, even in the most technical steps on production and machinery.
I give 4 stars and not 5 because the visit could perhaps be extended to other rooms in which there are many testimonies especially on the filigree but very few descriptions and information, so you basically lose much of the knowledge. Also, I think the workshop could be included in the cost of the entrance ticket, I don't think it's worth paying the 5€ extra.
The bookshop I found rather poor, I would have liked to have more choice for buying gadgets, Fabriano paper or Museum books.

Guided tour that tells the discovery of paper and its world evolutions. Beautiful experience the children of 13 and 6 years were fascinated have also made the experience of creating a sheet of paper as it was done so many years ago '.

An hour well spent at the paper museum. Guide prepared and available. Interesting visit. During busy periods it would be better to make smaller groups

Very interesting visit of an emergency typical of the economic and social history of Fabriano: the production of paper.
There is the possibility to carry out an experience at the laboratory, generating a sheet of paper.
Visit to be completed, then, individually, stopping in the rooms upstairs, where watermarks and papers produced for state bodies and known private subjects are exhibited.
The only drawback: there is no mention of the evolution of paper reality in the contemporary age, that is, with the figure of the Miliani Family and the "Fabriano" brand.
However, it is a must visit if you are in Fabriano.

I had the pleasure of visiting this very interesting museum during a weekend in Marche. Fabriano is very close to the Frasassi Caves, Recommendation to combine the 2 visits.
It was me, my wife and our 11-year-old daughter - who also dabbled in the workshop - and our small dog that we were allowed to bring inside.
The story of the creation of the paper and the contribution that Fabrian artisans have made over time is expertly told by the guides, if I remember correctly our Martina era.
I highly recommend going to the museum, especially for kids who have addressed the topic of paper production in middle school.

A stop not to be missed for those in the surroundings of Fabriano. The guide, Clelia, was very good at telling the story of the paper in a simple and interesting way as well as curious anecdotes. Many interesting also the part in which he explained the watermark. So much history enclosed in a small museum.

Fabriano zelf heeft een prachtige boekhandel, waar de plaatselijke papierproducten verkocht worden. De museumwinkel verkoopt eigenlijk alleen souvenirs. Onze Engelstalige gids vertelde ons naar het centrum van Fabriano te gaan!

Il Museo è dotato di servizi igienici e attrezzature adeguate ad accoglieri gruppi scolastici. Al fianco del museo c'è un parco in cui è possibile pranzare al sacco. In caso di pioggia si puo' chiedere di farlo nel chiostro minore del museo, dotato di una copertura in vetro. Quanto alla professionalità delle guide, credo sia sufficente leggere le recensioni lasciate dai visitatori su questo portale
