Wonderful! for us it was a pleasant surprise. it almost seems to be in an enchanted place or on another planet. This land so Red is very suggestive. (don’t wear white shoes 😁). Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

CAUTION!!!!!
I was there after it rained at night and slid down the slope, the result is a concussion and a broken wrist. Be careful when it's wet there, my otherwise non-slip hiking boots have done no good. Otherwise, the pit is not really spectacular either.

The view was wonderful. It is a fair hike to the area where you can see it. You have to park in an area where you pay 3 euros and then walk up an incline for a good 15 minutes till you get to an area which says private. People were ignoring the signs and walking to the view. Wear good runners or boots to climb the area to see the view. Great photos were taken.

A quarry that arouses curiosity but is, desolately, abandoned to degradation. It would really be an asset if it were exploited properly perhaps competently in addition to adequate posters. A ride is a must, however, for those in the area.

Very suggestive landscape. Beautiful colors, the contrast between red and green is spectacular, but... There are no directions to the viewpoint, everywhere there is no access that we have respected, doing three kilometers in the sun and then being forced to violate the access ban. Is it possible that you can not put some indication ??

Very nice location few tourists (thanks to the current heat) the landscape with gradients of ochre colors are very beautiful. And parking at 3€ allows access to the site in 5/10 minutes on foot. 😂 Do not hesitate to go for a walk off the beaten track in order to find magnificent viewpoints you can contemplate the landscape opposite while listening to the song of the cicadas.

È possibile arrivare a piedi? Da Google maps mi indica che devo fare una parte della strada a piedi passando per la SP369 e non mi sembra molto sicuro..

Devi arrivare in auto, a circa 800 metri dalla cava trovi un parcheggio a pagamento sulla sx, parcheggi l’auto e poi puoi arrivare a piedi alla cava seguendo una strada nella campagna sterrata.
