Amazing guided tour with Rio. So many birds! He picked us up from our AirBnB, and actually started pointing out some local birds around where we were staying immediately, which gave us a new perspective on the place. Then, we went to the actual site of the tour. It was an easy-going hike, and we probably saw at least 30 species. Learned a lot! Such a special person, and he patiently helped me get some great photos. It was an exceptional value, and the highlight of our trip.

We went on a 3 hour birdwatching tour in the nature reserve on the edge of Nosara. Rio was out guide and he was truly outstanding. His knowledge of the flora and fauna was incredible. He has an amazing ear and we saw 25+ species of birds we had never seen before. Was well worth the time and the cost.

Our hotel arranged a tour of the mangroves and our guide Kenneth was such a gem! We had the choice of kayak or SUP, which was perfect as I like to SUP and my mom like to kayak. Kenneth was so informative and a pleasure to he around. One we got to the secluded beach, he had prepared coconut water and pineapple for us. You can tell he truly loves what he does. Definitely recommend!

We did 2 tours with Experience Nosara. The first was an ATV tour up into the mountains and to a coffee farm. It was a blast. Our guides, Alex, Carlos and Kenneth were wonderful, very patient for those who had never driven an ATV before and you can tell they enjoy their job. They are very knowledgeable about the plants and animals all around and the environment. The views were gorgeous traveling up and down the mountain and passing through the tiny villages. We got fresh pineapple and coconut water on the way up and it was amazing. Once at the coffee farm we were able to hike around and learn about how it works and had the most amazing lunch prepared by the farmer's wife. It was a great experience, I highly recommend. It lasted about 4 hours and was a lot of fun.
The second excursion we took with Experience Nosara was a mangrove paddleboard tour. It was also excellent. We had wonderful guides (Brian and Rashid), especially Rashid who worked really hard to clear the waterway of natural debris so we could pass through. He and Brian both were very knowledgeable about the mangroves, the animals and the plants all around. It was a beautiful tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We paddled through the mangoves until we reached the ocean and once again had fresh pineapple and coconut water. So spoiled!
Definitely book with Experience Nosara for your excursions. You will not be disappointed!

Really enjoyed our hike. Our guide was really knowledgeable and could show us the unique properties of plants and tell us their medicinal uses. The waterfall was running hard and we could swim and jump.
My husband lost his prescription sunglasses in the water (we weren't upset-completely his fault) and the guide dove to find them during another tour later that day and sent them to us in a tuk tuk! Amazing.

J'ai fait une ballade en kayak avec le guide Kenneth ! C'est sincèrement une des plus belles expériences que j'ai eues au Costa Rica. Il sait une foule de chose sur les plantes et les animaux, et a un vrai sens pédagogique pour transmettre ! On a pris une collation (coco et ananas) sur l'océan à mi-chemin. La ballade dans la mangrove est d'une grande beauté et on apprend beaucoup.

My 18 year old daughter and I loved our ATV tour to Mala Noche waterfall. with Alex! We got lucky and had a private tour. The scenery was incredibly beautiful and Alex was a wonderful guide! pie last stop was a short hike to a lovely waterfall with refreshing swimming hole. Highly recommend this tour!

We did a Mangrove SUP experience with Alex last week. All of us were beginners and he took such a great care of each and every participant. Everyone felt very safe and welcome. He went beyond just paddling experience and gave us a wildlife tour as well. We absolutely loved it. Would’ve have asked for a better guide!

Our guide Kenneth led a birdwatching hike into the nature reserve. He had deep knowledge, helping everyone see things they might otherwise have missed, always with a great sense of humor.

Hi, We have a group of six 18 year olds coming to Nosara for Semana Santa. What would a river kayaking trip for them cost and what would it look like? i.e. double kayaks? nature guide? length of time required? Do they get themselves to the Boca or do you provide transportation? Thanks, Alice Olson 8479-7887
