Great surfing for beginners and non-beginners. Our family has surfed in many places in the world and this was the favorite by far! The staff was so kind and friendly! They were able to work with the whole family at different surfing levels! Everyone had fun and we were sad to go home after a week of surfing!

We took surf lessons with Agua Tibia in late June 2023. Our group had two families--each with two adults and a handful of kids ages 6-14. All of us are beginners (for most of us it was our first time on our surfboard!). Our experience was awesome. The communication setting up the lessons was quick. The lessons themselves were so informative and the instructors were so patient with us--especially the kids. We were all able to get up on the boards and have fun. They also gave us sunscreen for our faces, rash guards to wear, and fresh coconut water after the lesson. About a week later, we were emailed a whole bunch of gorgeous photos.
We went back and rented surfboards and boogey boards throughout the week and the crew remembered us and were always super helpful with board selection and overall just super patient and kind. I highly recommend this company!

Everyone at agua tibia was friendly and helpful. They are close to the beach so very convenient. Surf instructors were experienced, encouraging and made surfing fun. Selection of boards was good. Overall great experience.

We had a blast! Marcelo and Joel were amazing teachers and gut an entire group of women in their 60’s up on boards! Evelyn and Bryan made sure everything was set and ready for us and the coconut at the end… chef’s kiss!

After visiting various rental companies, I rented a board from Agua Tibia for the week, and I am so glad I did! They have great boards in excellent condition, their prices are really reasonable, and they were incredibly helpful, positive and trustworthy. I am thrilled to have found Agua Tibia!

The best place to surf in Nosara! Highly recommend this school. Adrian, Dani and Marcello taught our whole family to surf this week and looked after us so well - Adrian had my four year old surfing by herself by day two and Dani had my eight year old riding green waves like a pro! Couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Nosara. Great friendly vibe at the surf school and at the quieter end of the beach so the water isn’t too crowded. The many thank you notes from happy customers on the wall behind Evelyn’s desk say it all. We’ll miss you guys and the fresh coconut water after surfing as well!

A group of us, middle aged gals, who had no surfing experience wanted to try surfing but we were all pretty nervous. Marcelo and Joel were our surfing teachers. They were both incredible teachers, intuitive and attentive to each person. In no time everyone was able to get up and ride the wave(foam). I was amazed!! Truly the best of the best!! And the highlight of our vacation in Costa Rica. Thank you Marcelo and Joel!!! ♥️😎

Hello! I've been trying to get in touch with Agua Tibia Surf School for approximately a month through email, forms on the website and even a phone call where I was told to leave my email address so the owners could get back to me regarding my inquiry.
I have been unable to book through the website (keep getting a 404 error) for November, which was the reason for my call. This is just disappointing for a place that looks like a great experience and has such great reviews. I would love to hear back from someone at the school or anyone that can provide an alternative/helpful solution? Thanks!
