A great location to visit

A wonderful location with a superb drive into the Mountains to Tartarus Forest Park. You should even bring your Bathing costumes if you fancy a cool dip in the river. (You will also see the Eels that frequent the river! )
A beautiful spot and a great place to take a walk through the woods (take good walking shoes)
Definitely a place to visit.

Short Notice personalised tour

I only popped into the Palmy North I-Site this morning to see what was happening and to see how I could get out to the Tui Brewery. The next thing I know, I'm booked on an afternoon sightseeing tour with Rob from Tatarua Tiki Tours! I was the only passenger this afternoon, hence the personalised tout. We started off in town and headed out up through the gorge, stopping for photos. Rob is very knowledgeable on the area. We then went on tot the brewery for a tour. Coming back we drove throughthe windfarm, 55 huge turbines up in the hills. The road goes through the middle of the farm so you can stop and get out to appreciate just how big this monsters actually are. They're huge!!! Rob brought me back into town and delivered me safely to my hotel. Tararua Tiki tours provide an assortment of full and half day tours and I would highly recommend them if you are ever in Palmerston North or surrounding area. They can be booked through the i-site in Palmy or through the website: www.tararuatikitours.co.nz. Give them a try, you'll not regret it!
