Very pretty. Fabulous architecture, was in reform around, but did not interfere with the visit. Worth it and the way to the cathedral is super tasty. Beautiful environment, super blooming around.

Among the horrible things in Maringá - and there are many - the cathedral is one of the worst, competing directly with traffic. Gray, dull, unwelcoming and not remotely reminiscent of a religious temple. It's ugly on the outside, but it still has some appeal. Inside it is cold, dull and unattractive, like almost everything else in the city. However, there are four places in Maringá that I recommend: airport, bus station, north contour and south contour. They all take you to the best side of the city: the outside!

The triangles have abstract colored stained glass, they have good clarity.
The surrounding water mirror has special lighting at night.
The cathedral is located in a large, well-kept, paved square with steps to enter.
It is a cathedral with a more than modern architecture, audacious, bold, exuberant, very different from all existing religious styles in the world, it even looks like the shape of a Christmas tree with a wide base narrowed at the tip and a well-shaped cross. high.

It was worth the trip to see this cathedral.

Oi Tom, não é mais possível subir ao mirante da Catedral. Está fechado para reforma desde 2010 sem previsão de data de abertura. Na verdade as escadarias que levam até o mirante é que estão interditadas.
