This temple is adjacent to entry of M G Road. This temple can be easily identified because of its beautiful architecture. I visited this temple in March 2019 when construction was going on here. I hope after completion, the beautiful temple will be on the priority list for tourists.

I went to Thakurbari Temple. The Thakurbari Temple in Gangtok is a major pilgrimage centre at Gangtok. One of the oldest Hindu temples in the state of Sikkim, it is present in the hear of Gangtok and houses idols of almost all major deities within. It is great place to go.

Located in M G Marg. It's under construction. Hard to locate unless you really search for it. I guess it's okay to visit when you are travelling with elders.

It's a small temple within Gangtok city. Nobody will notice unless you hear it from someone. Although some construction work is going on to make it bigger

On the way to nathula pass lies the temple which is frequented by tourists and army personnel. We stayed there for half an hour while returning from nathula pass. Its a new one constructed on a convenient location. Our driver offered to take us to the original one for extra charge but we declined. Army personnel deployed there have a lot of faith in baba n they make all the necessary arrangements in the temple. Even the prasad is distributed by one of them. We came to know that water taken from there had healing powers. There was a room full of water bottles kept there. But this facility was only for army troops. I was surprised to see the number of people the temple attracts but it's a Matter of faith.

Be the first one to arrive at this place in the morning and you will be able to see the morning prayers be offered by the locals. the best part for me was the purity of the place and the simplicity of the rituals.

Although the name is Bengali, still this temple is visited by people of different religion. Very relaxing ambience.
