This place has everything a tourist is looking for: waves hitting the seawall, fishing boats leaving the jetty at sunset, joggers, romantic couples, bikers, live bands, fresh sea foods, zumba dancers, entertainment, sporting events or a beach to put your bare feet during low tide.
I got stranded here so i used the time to explore what Dipolog has to offer.I arrived here from my Camiguin and Mindanao tour on March 8. On the 16th the place was on a lockdown mode. No transport. So I bought an old bike to explore this area every afternoon. When the city reverted to GCQ people started to do their jogging here. It was back to business since the local government recorded a Zero Covid 19 case here. In short, this area is the best place to get stranded. Food affordable and every place is a walking distance. This stgretch of cemented infrastructure has lengthened to more than 3 kms and has reached the feeder RORO port in barangay Galas. At the end of the sunset boulev ard you can swim since there are beach resorts there. I used to swim thrice a week at the end of the boulevard where i swam with the kids in the morning.

The boulevard transform at nigh time into haven for food lovers! Mobile or food carts are available to satisfy your cravings from grilling, frying, local dishes, desserts and drinks! If your a little picky, you can opt for numerous resto-bars in different establishments lining the area! More importantly, people are definitely friendly & polite! In the early morning, it is transformed into sports/recreational hub with people walking, jogging or do whatever exercises you're into.

We loved walking down the baywalk every afternoon. Cafes and restaurants everywhere, beautiful sunsets, fresh clean air!

The long stretch of the boulevard during sunset is filled with locals and travellers having great time. Strolling, playing football, dancing and so much more.
I sat at a table nearest the beach and ordered chicken barbecue and pusó (local steamed rice cooked inside a woven coconut leaves)
I ate while watching the sunset, a perfect way to end the day.

Sunset Blvd is a very nice waterfront area of Dipolog. There are nice restaurants and shops across from the water (favorite is Chapters) but the road and walkway is built along the water limiting access to what beach is there. Most tourist will be content to walk the concrete, never getting their feet wet.

When the sun starts to sink in the horizon this place slowly becomes alive with joggers, students, expatriates, retirees, residents , visitors and health-fitness buffs alike. Before the completion of the boulevard professionals used to drive to Dapitan, the city airport or the beaches in Sicayab to appreciate the sunset.
Today almost all kind of people converge in this 3-km of cemented road going to the feeder port of barrio Galas..The view of the sunset from the seawall is comparable to the beauty of the sinking sun on Manila Bay.
Aside from healthful benefit of the saline breeze coming from Sulu Sea , the place is regularly used as venue for sporting events like fun run, zumba competition, triathlon, bancathon,beach volleyball, dance contests or basketball tournaments.
In short, the boulevard is the city's and the provincial government's venue for all its cultural and social activities, not to mention some religious shows. Clan reunions are sometimes made on some portion of the boulevard. Food is sold by ambulant vendors and nighttime stalls, which are folded at the wee hours in the morning.Live music from bands are also within walking distance from the boulevard including hotels, restaurants, pension houses and even spas.The bottomline is, there are more events held here than at the provincial or city gymnasiums because the boulevard is practically a walking distance from anywhere in Dipolog.

The Dipolog boulevard is basically clean and a safe place to do walks during the early morning and late afternoons. More people go there in the evenings but it’s a wonderful place to just watch the sun rise or set.
Sometimes parking your car becomes a bit of a challenge because of the limited parking spaces available.

I stayed in dipolog and it was a nice place and the boulevard was amazing
Id like to see more rubbish bins and clean drinking water.
I felt so safe there with many armed guards n police around.
Ill def be going back soon and might just pack up n move there.

I visited my fiancée who owns an ice cream cart on the boulevard with other vendors. The city is a nice place to live and is increasingly attracting expats to live there. It is not a place for singles to go to hook up. It is a family oriented city.

Nice sunset view and long flat walking place, about 7 km. Many street food options in the early evening.

The city is very safe. It is one of the safest cities in the country. All intersection are covered by HD cctvs and response could be done in minutes by the local policemen. I once walked the city streets around 2 am and nobody disturbs me. No drunken people nor beggars to harass you. There was a case of kidnapping where an owner of a pizza joint was involved. It was a case of ransom, but it is a rare occurrence.

I sometimes swim off the boulevard near the breakwater. Do not swim farther since the undercurrent off the boulevard is so strong in the afternoon. I was carried by the current far out to sea once but i was on a rubber boat. No amount of paddling or swimming could drive you back to shore. I,with a companion, managed to swim and push back the rubber boat because we are strong swimmer and familiar with the undertow. My advice swim in the morning.

punta ka sa business permit section and ask the details. I have a niece who operates a kiddie bouncing castle nightly on the boulevard area. She first approached the local city legislative council since they have to pass an ordinance setting aside a portion or a vacant lot for a business.
