An exellent array of music and a pleasure to be there both of us loved it the theatre itself is the most wonderful hybrid of a music hall, and a theatre comfotable with good visibility and the acoustics were great we left still singing the songs really really was a lovely night canot recomend this place enough

Visited this theatre with a friend a few weeks back to watch 'Class Of 55'. We were very surprised by the size of the theatre, and the splendid interior which was a treat, as from the outside it doesn't look much.
Both myself and my friend travelled from Derby to see the show, as the local theatre to us, clashed dates with other engagements, so neither of us could take advantage of the very well stocked bar, although we both enjoyed a bottle of Leffe and some scratchings. We were both impressed with the selection of drinks on offer, and the small kiosk also had a very good selection of offerings when we purchased some refreshments in the interval.
Prices were very reasonable too for an entertainment venue.
The show itself was good, albeit a little poorly attended, I wouldn't rush to see it again, and there was some very awkward sound issues at the start.
We are looking to book another show later in 2024 at the Majestic, as it seems to offer more than our local one, and the seats are far more comfy!

Another great show (Walk Right Back) in this lovely theatre. Always get a warm, friendly welcome. The interior is looking so good - the seating looks new.
If there are ever monies to spare - a big ask in today's climate - could some of it be spent on the ladies' loos? (Can't comment on the gents).
You need the vital statistics of Olive Oyl to close the cubical doors once you're in.

Went to see Alistair Macgowan and Jasper Carrot in their travelling show. Very impressed by the theatre, seats are comfortable, view is good from most places, volunteer staff are great, decor of theatre is truly splendid.
From outside it's a bit like an old brick warehouse, with a burglar deterrant door, but inside it's charming. The bar is small and it's not easy to get a drink, but that is part of the quirky charm of the place.
Criticism-- not enough toilets, especially for the women.

I have been to see various shows at this little theater and thurally enjoyed every one of them. It was fully restored to its forma glory a few years ago and it is still run by volunteers. My wife uses a wheelchair and we have had no problems with access just tell them when you book your tickets, what a gem.

What a beautiful little theatre. Decor is worth a visit alone. We saw the 'Totally Tina' show. Full money's worth, and if the tour visits your area - don't miss it. As for the Majestic - we will return soon. One minor drawback is the bar for alchohol is upstairs - so not too friendly if your legs don't work too well. Friendly efficient staff - the whole set up deserves your support whatever the show.

great theatre run mainly on volunteers have some great shows seating is ideal plentey spaces for wheel chairs very friendly easy to get there from car parks not too expensive

A wonderful, old fashionded playhouse / theatre. Not that many left now, but run by volunteers and Majestic helpers.
It's a little like stepping back in time, but an intense atmosphere is always generated by a full house.

Hi. Magic are performing on 27th May at the Majestic. Tickets £20 each. If you are booking online the page took a while to load properly but it looks like tickets are still available. It is too late to have the tickets posted but you will be able to pick them up on the night. Have a good time. The telephone number is 01777 706 866 if you need it.
