Lovely fishery run by DAN and his team
£15 for two rods on Long Island is good value
All fish caught in really good condition
Carp - common and mirror all doubles that cam out
Barbel and Roach too
all caught on PVA mesh filled with pellets and 12mm Krill boilies
14 fish in total, not bad for early November
can't wait to come back next time
very well stocked tackle shop - reasonable prices too
you can even get a steak pie which Dan will warm up for you when your ready

The place is good looking but the price is far to steep £40 for 24 hours and you have to leave at 7am!
Packing up in the dark while others are standing behind you waiting for the pegs not good. It’s not a runs water and for the price and fish size I’d say it’s over priced and better places available.
If price was reduced I’d return but until then there are a lot better waters available.

well what can i say about "HAMPTON SPRINGS" other than its absolutely excellent!! Dan, Rick, and Theo have this amazing vision in place and its really starting to take shape, i have done a few sessions on (long island and Alice) which both produced a very fun packed rod bending time, with some lovely double figure carp :) but my main focus has been what resides in "FOLLY" theirs a certain 2 fish that both went over the magical 30 mark a few years back so im itching to see whether their still about. in the 6 quick over night sessions ive done ( 7pm-7am) ive managed 24 carp to 26lb with the majority all being 20 and over, if the numbers continue then surely one of them will slip up. so many different shapes sizes and strains you never get bored. if your looking for that 20lb carp then look no further, take my friends regularly and promise them a 20 each and it always comes good, its not a runs water by any means but they can be caught in numbers if you angle well enough. ive seen alot of people moaning about the price but i guarantee thats to keep the idiots away, and more so your fishing in a very safe and angler orientated environment which imo is priceless. keep doing what your doing guys ive noticed the only hate coming your way is from the people who haven't caught (clearly dont no what there doing) i should be chasing a uk 50 this year but i cant seem to leave this place alone

Despite reserving pegs on Folly, on arrival one was already in use. The angler moved to another peg but a biteless day ensued. Later discovered the swim had been fed with over 3kgs of feed before my arrival which most probably didn't help my fishing. Yet to hear back from Hampton Springs on my subsequent email compliant. An expensive day ticket, purchase of additional bait and travel (nearly 2hrs inc. return) thoroughly wasted..

Spent a full day on the 'specimen' pit, Folly. Did not have one carp bite all day.
One small bream does not justify the £20 fee for this pit, disappointed.

Visited Folly the "specimen lake" a few times over the past few months. Had some brilliant results. Average size of fish is probably around the 14lb mark can't complain at that biggest rumoured to be nudging 30 at 27lb , also some brilliant sport to be had with Chub to 6lb and Barbel exceeding double figures. The downsides to this fishery are the rules, an already expensive day ticket of £10 plus having to buy bait of which must be purchased at the venue makes for an expensive outing £5 for half a kilo of 18mm boilies, and £2.50 for a small 250g bag of pellets. Another downside to this venue particularly to the seasoned specimen angler are the amount of inexperienced "noddy's" fishing death rigs and dropping random leads everywhere every 5 minutes because they're not catching irritating when your building a swim and a 4 oz lead crashes through it like a train. Best time to go to this venue is early and mid week, likely to be quieter and have less "Noddy's" ruining your swim. Would recommend for Follly to bring a 42" landing net , suitable unhooking mat and 12lb line at minimum.
Suggestions for Improvement - Rule Board, maximum hook size change to size 6 barbless or micro barbed, allow the use of coated hook links, Shelf life boilies & other bait form reliable companies (ccmore, dynamite baits, etc), 42" landing net , Suitable Unhooking mat, 12lb mainline minimum breaking strain, no more than 2 anglers per peg, often rig checks to eliminate dangerous rigs and educate anglers of the importance of rig safety.

Fished several times every time does not dissapoint . Plenty of pools too choose from and plenty of fish we only go in the week as once we went could not even get a peg due too the club matches booked and it being a very popular venue well worth a visit usual rules apply for the fishery . Folly the spec lake has some nice carp n barbel all lakes have plenty features islands etc this venue is well worth a visit great facilities cafe toilets etc

several pools to choose from at this fishery so you can match your skills to the size of fish you need for your challenge. Clean toilets and good parking
