We had already gone for drinks in this pub with a friendly atmosphere.
Good selection of beers (especially local).
Not bad also on OH-free and hot drinks.
And pleasantly surprised by the lunch offer: small dishes in jars, local, good, and even vegetarian if you wish.
Good Value for Award.

We have stayed in the area of Dol for over 20 years, and we generally pay Le Stuart a visit. A lovely quaint pub. Yesterday myself and my husband dropped in for our annual visit, and what a complete disappointment, all down to extremely poor service and attitude. When I asked firstly for coffee inside at the bar the gruff man (with the moustache) told us to take a seat, which we did. There was no greeting or welcome ... maybe my French wasn’t up to standard, but I did greet him and made my request in French. We took a table outdoors, and our order was taken. At some point we wanted to order some beer. Eventually we got the servers attention. He asked if we wanted the bill, we said Non, mais we wanted to order drinks (again using la langue). That was the last contact we had with him. He served incoming customers, and despite trying to get his attention on several occasions we waited 45 minutes without our order been taken. On the occasions that my husband or I called for his attention as he passed beside us, he blatantly ignored us, although he clearly heard us. He seemed to have a clear strategy of ignoring existing customers, avoiding eye contact as he went in and out past us. Our patience with this rude behaviour ran out and we paid inside. Perhaps never to return to this nice pub unless they take a short course in basic manners, or come to Ireland to see how it’s done properly! By the way the coffee is overpriced and bitter.

The terrace is great and nice but the staff very mediocre and not friendly and allows for very unpleasant reflections

Great pub on the Main Street of Dol. The choice of drinks were vast and the draft beer and cider were excellent. The prices were also very good — good value. The service was very friendly and efficient.

Nous sommes allés prendre un cocktail accompagné d’une planche apéro. Tout est parfait, cocktail très bons, et planche apéro très bien garnie pour un tarif vraiment peu élevé. Je recommande

Une ambiance décontractée et cool. Un accueil vraiment sympa et un lieu atypique rempli de caractère et d'histoire. N'oublie pas vôtre livre Harry Shooter a l'école des brasseurs. 😉👍
