Wonderful little old town with nice little streets and lots of shops to stroll around. Unfortunately no more insider tip and much of German tourists overflow.

The people from restaurants are greath but the village people , taxi drivers are really rude people they should be greathfull for tourist who are coming cause they earning money instead they are very rude and without respect

Small village, old with some streets, shops, tiny stone houses... Classic Greece! I don't understand what is the big fuzz about this village/ town, has nothing wow. Yes, it is beautiful, the streets are nice, the little houses also, but you can find all of these all over the Greece, so is not an unique place.
The village has a centre/ agora that is closed for cars, but it is small and the rest of the streets are packed with cars, so many cars, parked everywhere, there are no rules, no signs, you can live your car wherever you want. On the Varies Beach, you can park the car almost on the beach, in a place that is a muddy lot.
Also, full of people, I mean FULL, hardly can walk on the streets. And the prices... ooooffff.

Very characteristic village full of shops and taverns pleasant to visit on top of a hill. From there wonderful views of the surrounding coast. Recommended the stop!

Afitos is a very beautiful and picturesque place. In the village square you take your walk in paved alleys with tourist and non-shops around you. The panoramic view to the sea, as the village is high built enchanting you.

Beautiful village that of Afytos, where I spent 3 nights with my family. In the evening it is very pleasant to walk among the many craft shops, souvenirs, pubs and restaurants of all kinds. Location with mainly Russian tourism, but the village retains its Mediterranean soul

We were visiting Kassandra peninsula and we decided to stop at Afytos and it is one of our highlights of the trip. It is a touristic town so there are a lot of Greek restaurants, bars and souvenir shops and it can get crowded sometimes. The town is beautiful with typical old Greek streets and it has a breath taking panoramic view of the sea.

We actually came here on the recommendation of our friend, who was here in June. We didn't like it so much. Everything was far too touristy, one souvenir shop next to the other. We did buy one or two souvenirs but it was far too crowded, even though it was low season, and it wasn't really worth seeing for us.
