Estuve para un concierto de la Orquesta Failde, los sigo por facebook, me encantan. En diciembre pasado estuve en Cuba y los disfruté. Me llegué a Matanzas solo para ese concierto. QUÉ BELLEZA de concierto y teatro! La verdad lo recomiendo al mil porciento

Siamo stai a Matanzas per un viaggio di tipo antropologico, con interviste ed incontri riguardanti la rumba matancera e l'incidenza della religiosità popolare di ascendenza africana (santeria, abakua, etc) in città. Ogni giorno l'appuntamento era in uno dei bar proprio di fronte al Teatro. Non pensavamo di aver tempo di entrare, ma in una breve pausa abbiamo deciso di visitare questo bellissimo Teatro ottocentesco. Particolarmente belli i soffitti.

Hace unos días fui con mi familia a este bello teatro a ver un concierto de un trovador y quede encantado con el lugar y con la decoración,el local bien climatizado y muy acogedor

On the day we were there (Friday), it was not open to visitors. Very fine building on the outside. They have regular shows.

Es un teatro de estilo neoclásico muy bello con una lámpara imponente en el techo, donde vale la pena hacer una parada en tu viaje desde La Habana hasta Varadero. Saliendo desde La Habana a una hora de viaje llegarás a la ciudad de Matanzas, y sobre la carretera principal 272 frente al parque de los bomberos, podrás acceder a éste bello teatro. Cuando estas adentro y vez el detalle de los acabados sientes la ironía de percibir esa opulencia adentro y la humildad de las casas en el recorrido más adelante, es irónico, pero así es Cuba.
En lo personal éste teatro y las Cuevas de Bellamar y Saturno son las actividades más relevantes para hacer en ésta ciudad, por lo demás no hay mucho que ver.

Le théâtre est encore fermé, maus vu de l'extérieur, il vaut le coup d'oeil de part son architecture.

Teatro Sauto is one of the public buildings being renovated in 2018 for the city’s upcoming 250 (?) anniversary.
The theatre is a beautiful example of Spanish colonial architecture and has a floor which raises ad lowers according to need. The theatre, which hosts a number of diverse artistic events is often open to the public, and well worth a visit.

Lors de notre passage, le bâtiment était fermé au public (rénovation)
L'aspect extérieur de cet ancien théâtre, construit en 1880 est correctement rénové. Malheureusement les travaux de rénovation de la place et des bâtiments autour ne permettent pas d'apprécier ce théâtre à sa juste valeur ( peut-être dans 1 an).

Once one of Cuba's premier theatres, with exceptional acoustics, (where performers have included Sarah Bernhardt, Anna Pavlova and Andres Segovia), the building has been undergoing refurbishment for many years
Designed by the Italian architect Daniele Dell'Aglio in neoclassical style, with a garden facing the harbour, from the outside it looks as impressive as ever, and I hope that it will be re-opened in the near future.
