Museu d'Art i Història is the museum of art and history of Reus, a town located in Tarragona Province, in the South of Barcelona. Here you can see an exposition of figures used in the Main party (Festa Major) of the city and there are also some rooms, where you can learn about the history of the city and especially why it was the second most important city in Catalonia in the 19th Century (production of alcohol and also oil in some towns not far from Reus). Also, there are some rooms with paintings. Interesting.

La persona de recepción no me quiso cobrar y supongo que es porque debe ser gratuito pero en todo caso, tampoco me lo dijo. El museo tiene su encanto si Reus es tu ciudad, en caso contrario te dejará bastante indiferente.
Pedí si tenian un itinerario recomendable para hacer la visita, si disponian de autoguías, nada de nada.
Creo que deberían mejorar o cambiar su museografía para hacerlo atractivo

Se trata de un Museo ubicado en la Plaça de la Llibertat, en zona de expansión del municipio pero junto al casco antiguo. Se encuentra en un edificio propiedad de La Caixa con una solemne entrada bajo columnas. Edificio protegido como bien de interés cultural. Instalado en ésta ubicación desde 1.961. Dedicado a la historia y a las gentes de la ciudad.

Zachęcona rekomendacjami i dłuższym pobytem w okolicy odwiedziliśmy całą rodziną tą ekspozycję-muzeum.
Niestety nic odkrywczego tam nie zaproponowano. Ani dla dzieci ani dla dorosłych...
Na otarcie łez na koniec możliwość wykonania fotki w tle z epoki Gaudiego.

This museum is OK but only since it is free.
Unless you speak Catalan, don't expect to get much out of it since very few of the explanations include English or Spanish. Kind of odd for a tourist attraction in Spain.

Es un museo y un edificio protegidos com bien cultural de interes nacional del municipio de Reus. Está situado en la Pl de la Llibertat, muy cerca del centro histórico de la ciudad, Es un Museo Municipal que recoge colecciones artísticas reusenses y de su comarca (el Baix Camp) Quiere mostrar la trayectoria y la evolució de la sociedad reusense, sus personages más representativos, las creaciones artísticas y los hechos más significativos que han forjado la personalidad de la ciudad.

Es un buen museo para conocer la historia de la ciudad de Reus y además está situado en un edificio emblemático de la ciudad ya q era el antiguo banco de España en antaño y el edificio en sí arquitectònicament es precioso.

El primer museo municipal de Reus estaba ubicado en la Casa Rull, pero se trasladó al edificio de la Caixa de Pensions donde fue inaugurado el 15 de Septiembre de 1961. También pude visitarlo, gratuitamente, dentro de la "Nit dels Museus", no está mal pero se puede considerar que su visita no es imprescindible.

Lo mejor los cuadros de Fortuny no demasiados por cierto el resto de pintura y escultura regular la sala dedicada a las fiestas de reus con sus Gigantes y Cabezudos asi como audivisuales esta bastante bien, entramos porque compramos la pulsera en el centro de interpretacion de Gaudi que te da acceso a 5 visitas lo mejor de Reus El Pere Mata, entre otros
