Must see. A village literally embedded in a series of magical waterfalls. Have been here twice, each time was amazing. Sadly you can't swim in the water any more for good reason, but still worth and afternoon.

Zdecydowanie polecam zobaczyć to miejsce w szczególności rejon Skradinski Buk. To najpiękniejsze miejsce PN KRKa. Polecam zamieszkanie w Skradin i stamtąd popłynąć porannym statkiem aby pochodzić w okolicach Skradinski Buk przy mniejszym tłoku. Wystarczą na to 3 godziny. Mając cały dzień można wybrać się statkiem na wyspę z klasztorem Visowac i na Roski Slap. Ale w tym przypadku ma się za mało czasu na cieszenie się widokami. Następnym razem pojadę samochodem choć zaparkowanie tam nie jest łatwe.

Un site incontournable tant par ses paysages « cartes postales » que la beauté du parc.
Nous avons commencer par les chutes les plus impressionnantes. A la billetterie de l’entrée Lozovac, vous aurez la possibilité de prendre le bus pour aller jusqu’au site. Pour les plus courageux (et économes) un sentier sur un bon kilomètre descend au site. Arrivé au site vous avez la possibilité de faire le sentier balisé extrêmement beau et agréable de 4/5km ou d’aller directement aux chutes.
Le parc est sublime, pas dégradé par la pollution, et il est extrêmement agréable de ´s’y promener en octobre, les couleurs de l’automne y sont magnifiques !
Nous avons ensuite été à Roški Slap; beaucoup moins impressionnant mais tout aussi beau. Une jolie randonnée avec de beaux poînts de vue en hauteur (qui se méritent attention !)
Bref incontournable visite à faire !

We opted to take a tour here, with Grey line in Trogir, booked by Viatour . Glad we did as by doing it this way we were able to do the linear walk of about 2ks on the boardwalk, passing the stunning falls on the way , and finishing up on the little boat to Skradin, where our bus met us , with plenty of time for a couple of beers ! The falls are pretty amazing, but note, no swimming is allowed any more . It was super busy in September , think it may be unbearable in peak season .

It cost me 25 euros to park in Skradin, then they wanted to charge 30 euros per person entrance fee to the national park to walk 4 km to the waterfall. Although you can buy a multiple entrance ticket to the national park for a larger fortune.
I appreciate that these attractions need upkeep and don't mind paying a reasonable amount, but this is daylight robbery.
I questioned people coming out and they said the waterfalls were very beautiful, but very touristic, i.e. packed.
The chap at the parking told us to buy drinks and snacks in the supermarket in the town because it would be expensive at the waterfall.
I hate to think how much it would have cost to get the boat.
My honest opinion - it's a rip off!
National park entrance fees in Montenegro were 3 euros per person.

The magnificent waterfalls of Skradinski Buk are rightly one of Croatia’s most famous sights. Sadly however, Croatias dependence on tourism has led this section of the Krka National Park to be turned more into a Disney theme park for the cruise ships. It’s all a bit sad and tacky really.
Get here early ( first 8am boat out of Skradin ) or late afternoon if you want to avoid the sea of humanity bussed in from the cruise ships.
Please don’t get me wrong , the falls themselves are truly magnificent and totally deserving of a five star rating. However how the park is managed and how the falls themselves have been commercialised probably means your experience won’t be.
We were first out of Skradin at 8am and managed get to the falls before the sea of humanity from the cruise ships arrived but by the time we finished walking the boardwalks it had become quite uncomfortable.

Потрясающий национальный парк. Природа Хорватии завораживает. Комфортный маршрут даже в жаркие дни. Есть место для перекуса.
К маршруту можно спуститься пешком (главное рассчитать свои силы, т.к. спуск достаточно протяженный и каменистый) или доехать на автобусе.

Un parc exceptionnel, les cascades sont à couper le souffle. Nous n’avons fait que la visite des cascades de Skradin, en prenant le bateau. Le lieu est très fréquenté mais la visite reste assez fluide.

It's a nice place but not an exceptional one. It was very crowded and you have to queue at every nice point of view. If you can, go outside of the normal visiting hours.

Do you have to do a tour to visit the waterfalls or can you just turn up and walk around at your own leisure? Can you swim there and is there lots of walking involved?

Hi, We did not join a tour, but we did take the boat from Skradin to the falls. You can also rent a bike at Skradin, and I think it is a nice bikeride if you are average fit and up for it in the heat. You can no longer swim at the falls. We where disapionted about that , but Skradin has a nice beach. I also recomend to avoid the crowds. Early arrival or late - as we did. With normal walking pase the trip around the falls will take 30 to 45 minutes I think.
Please inform me as to which toilet is free to use and which require payment. Thanks

Per raggiungere l'area con i ristoranti è necessario prendere un sentiero? Quale?
Vorremmo visitare il monastero del Krka (Kistanje): è necessario acquistare un biglietto specifico? é possibile visitare solo il monastero?

Hi! Can we use the baby stroller on the educational trail around the Skradinski Buk waterfall (1900 m)? It is suitable for a five years old child by walk?
To reach the area with restaurant and souvenir shop, we have to take some trail?
We want to reach the Krka monastery (Kistanje) by car, maybe after the visit to the Skradinski Buk waterfall. It Is necessary to buy a specific ticket? Can we find the ticket office near to the monastery or in another park's area? It is possible to visit only the monastery?

Hi! You can use baby stroller without problems, I think that your son could walk with you too. The souvenir and restaurant area is closed or the park and ticket office. From this point to the trail you can use the bus.
I didn’t visit the monastery, I can’t reply to those questions...

We stayed at Apartment Slavica - family owned business - lovely people. This is at Lozavac which is close to three entrances to the park. Where you are at Zadar is about an hours drive away. Take the 424 to Zumunik and then exit at E65 towards Split/Sibenik. The driving is easy and directions good.

We had a rented car and used google maps on the phone as already suggested , we took a no toll route on the way there for a more scenic drive, we parked at side of road car park and walked through Skradin upto the river, really nice cafe up there called Niko’s

Hi. It is 58 km from Trogir by car . You take road E 65 from Trogir to Lozovac ( entrance to the Krka park). If you wish to go by bus you can take a day tour from Split that is 31 km from Trogir. From Split till Lozovac ( Krka) you have 87 km.
