This venue showcases local artists. I only wish more artists made their work available through this outlet. I'm always looking, but I've never bought anything. The managers need to reach out.

Fabulous gallery in Bampton which has a new exhibition each month together with a well stocked shop featuring local artists, including ceramics, jewellery, and wood turned items to name a few! A must place to visit.

The gallery has a bold, colourful and interesting exhibition of sea scapes at present. It is always worth visiting as the exhibitions change regularly and there are always unusual and unique gifts and cards to buy.

This art gallery has been going for over 40 years and hosts around 12 exhibitions a year featuring local artists especially members of West Ox Arts. With free admission and ample parking right outside in the Market Square in the centre of the unspoilt historic Cotswold town of Bampton you can make this a part of cultural visit to other galleries in West Oxfordshire such as the excellent Brian Sinfield Gallery in nearby Burford or Buscot Park and its Faringdon art collection. If you want a more hands on approach the Gallery offers reasonably priced weekly life drawing, still life and oil painting classes with tutors in the light and airy top floor where the sunlight is perfect. Opening times are 11.30-4.00 Tuesday- Saturday and 2-4pm Sundays. Although the Gallery is a bit off the beaten track and you do need to plan your visit, it is well worth it if you want to buy original artwork.

Small but beautiful gallery on the first floor (with lift for disabled access) in this picturesque village. Friendly staff and an interesting programme of changing exhibition as well as special events. I'd definitely recommend the gallery. Only drawback is the location - the village is difficult to get to without a car.

This friendly and approachable gallery offers a great collection of reasonably priced crafts handmade by local artists and fantastic art exhibitions which change on a regular basis. The gallery is on the first floor of a Grade II Listed building in a great village very much worth exploring.

The rolling programme of exhibitions and constantly changing stock in the gallery shop means that there is something to please all tastes and it's always worth dropping in, if only for a short time. It's also a great source of cards and gifts, all made by local artists. If you catch the opening of an exhibition, as I did on my last visit, you will find the place buzzing and have a chance to talk to the artists about their work.

I have had several delightful visits to the West Ox Art Gallery in Bampton. Easily located in the centre of Town, the Gallery has a very high standard of work by local artists and crafts people. The gallery shows groups exhibitions and individual artists in this beautifully light bright space that is a real gem of the town. Equally there are a nice selection of cards and catalogues to accompany the exhibitions which are very professionally laid out. West Ox Arts Gallery is a delight for connoisseur and happy browser alike with welcoming staff to help you navigate your way around or assist making that special purchase. Highly recommended.
