My husband and I had a fantastic visit with one of the owners Paolo. What a great experience not only being in this cool old wine cave. Paolo explained about the location, the wine making equipment and gave us tastings of their wine along with delicious local bread and cheeses. We had such fun and highly recommend a visit to anyone visiting the area. We were staying in Matera and took a taxi there and the train back.

This was such an amazing time! Our tour was wonderful followed by great wine. The team here puts a lot of thought into the details and nothing is overlooked. This is a special find and worth the trip. Thanks to Paolo for a wonderful experience.

Siamo stati alla cantina di Frrud questa mattina. Subito Paolo ci ha accolti ed ha cominciato a spiegare la storia di quel luogo e di come lui e il suo socio lo abbiano restaurato e trasformato in un vero e proprio museo che ti riporta indietro nel tempo. Paolo è bravissimo e con le sue spiegazioni trasmette tutta la passione per il suo lavoro e per la storia di quel luogo così pieno di cultura e tradizione. Ottimo il vino che abbiamo degustato nonché il cibo locale. Lo consigliamo come esperienza perché è davvero unica nel suo genere.

Io e il mio ragazzo siamo stati stamattina al museo, esperienza super consigliata, Paolo la nostra guida é super bravo, persona gentilissima e molto simpatica. Oltre il vino racconta luna vera e propria storia.

Il sogno, la cantina, la scoperta, il vino….sono una piccola parte di un sogno che due ragazzi hanno coltivato. Una narrazione enologica che regala qualcosa di raro in questa epoca: il sapore del tempo!

un pomeriggio “sano e naturale”, dedicato al vino che nasce dalla passione di due intraprendenti giovani che, dalla natura, hanno tirato fuori delle ottime bottiglie… tutte da “gustare”. bravi loro, ottimo vino

Esperienza suggestiva alla scoperta di un percorso di valorizzazione della bellezza del nostro territorio, dell'arte contadina e dei processi di vinificazione.
Il tutto è curato e presentato nei minimi dettagli... Da persona comunque originaria della zona, ho trovato tutto molto interessante ed affascinante!
Progetto davvero super... Esperienza consigliatissima!

Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo effettuato la visita guidata e la degustazione nel mese di ottobre 2022. Siamo rimesti estasiati dal gusto del vino, davvero unico nel suo genere. La visita nella cantina/museo è stata bellissima ed emozionante, oltre che arricchente da un punto di vista culturale grazie alla bravura di Paolo. Un'esperienza bellissima che consigliamo a tutti.

Do not miss this place when you are in Puglia. An ultimate experience, amazing story, beautiful ambiance, tasty food and very good wine!
Paolo is very friendly and kind, he completed the whole impression.
I would highly recommend La cantina Freud to everyone who is planning to visit Puglia.

We thoroughly enjoyed the personal tour through an extremely wel preserverend more than 400 year old winery. The equipment still in the same places as when it was last used to produce wine and each with a facinating story. Our host Paulo knew every single detail about each tool, how it was her, where it came from, and so much more.
However this is not why you should come to La Cantina Frrud. The wine tasting is why you should come. Accompanied with the best locally sourced cheeses we got to taste 4 very nice wines. Each with a unique story about how that year affected the taste and smell which you could see back in the wine. We highly recommend a visit and a purchase of the few bottles left!!
