This a great small town. Easy parking next to sea at 20 cents per hour and lots of interesting old street to wander around. Many cafes and restaurants.

To make a visit to the Kasbah you need to be guided by a local, and there is nothing better than Hosni, a Tunisian-Italian boy born and raised in the Kasbah that you can contact at +393271776245. Without him the visit would not have had the same taste: first of all he is a great Expert of Mazara del Vallo in the round and he also has the experience of life in the magical alleys of the maze of the Muslim part of the city. The visit with him was also accompanied, in part, by the call of the muezzin, transmitted by loudspeakers, which made everything even more suggestive.

Cute, the murals in the walls are suggestive, there are beautiful phrases! But we went Saturday morning and it was quite deserted. Maybe it's more alive in the evening, I don't know.. quiet to go with children and stroller! The cover photo is wrong 🤪 (I say this because it gave me wrong expectations 😅😂) that is Piazza della Repubblica!

Interesting visit with Hosni +39 327 1776245 that -as a resident of the kasbah itself and a Tour Guide- reveals the history and everyday life of the neighborhood and the historic center of the city. Very recommended.

The visit to the Kasbah of Mazara del Vallo was a truly extraordinary experience, made even more special by our Guide, Hosni. Without him, exploring this fascinating place would not have had the same meaning.
Hosni guided us through the labyrinthine streets with impeccable professionalism, offering an engaging and detailed account of the neighborhood’s history and culture. Every corner, every alley of Kasbah came alive thanks to his passionate explanations.
His sympathy created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, making us feel not only as tourists, but as true guests in a place of rare beauty and historical importance. If you are planning a visit to Mazara del Vallo, a Guide like Hosni is really indispensable to fully appreciate the magic of Kasbah.
