The work they do here is incredible! All the Donkeys are extremely well looked after and playful! And the yard itself is really welcoming and tidy. It’s a Lovely little place to visit! Keep up the good work!

I love this place; the commitment of its staff to give a 'forever home' to its animals is simply wonderful. It's heartening to know there are people out there doing this, and the animals look content and relaxed. I don't live in the area, but I'm coming again this weekend with friends; very much looking forward to a return visit!

Absolutely fabulous place, suitable for all ages. The care that the staff and their volunteers give to these lovely animals is amazing.
Well worth a visit and every penny supports a family who are just trying to give the donkeys a better life as some of these Donkeys haven’t had the best life before they came to the sanctuary

A lovely small charity that only has the welfare of the donkeys at heart. We were taken round the yard and introduced to all the donkeys. We were given their background and how to care for the donkeys. The donkeys not in the fields as the ground was too wet and that causes the donkeys feet to rot. When the ground dryes out they enjoy the freedom to run around and play.

Amazing place, amazing people, amazing donkeys. But be prepared during the tour as you hear just how cruel humans can be. But you take away that these donkeys are now in a place where they are truly loved and cared for. Heartbreaking but truly inspirational. Thank you

Took my autistic grandson here on Saturday and we had the best time, interesting talk about the donkeys and then the wonderful treat of a sensory room in the cafe which he LOVED! More needs to be made of the sensory room, I didn’t even know it was there!!

Thought this was a place for disabled donkeys hence the name’ wonkey’ but all the donkeys were certainly not wonkey. Other than that me and my friends had a great day but my legs are really soar from all the walking we did that day lol

What a beautiful place to visit. Would strongly recommend anyone with or without kids, young and old, paying this place a vist. The animals are loved and well looked after. The staff are beautiful people. Enjoyed every minute. Cost next to nothing for a fantastic walk around and guided tour of the animals, you can clearly see the animals are looked after properly and happy.

a good all round experience
very clean
plenty of space for the donkeys and they are well looked after
the tour was first class and led by a volunteer,a lady who obviously loved the donkeys.
easy to park and no pressure to buy or donate
all the staff were great and they cafe served the usual fare

Are we allowed to bring carrots/ Apple. Are you collecting anything that we could contribute towards brushes? Bowls buckets etc etc ? Thankyou X

U can bring carrots and apples , but u cannot feed them. They have a set meal time.
U can place any food brought into a bucket on entering the place
