Tombs of rulers of Asuyt from old and middle kingdom.the scenes is perfect still the perfect colors remains . It was surprised to me these beautiful tombs .i recommended to any one loves ancient Egypt art

die Meir Gräber sind eigentlich nicht so sonderlich bekannt. ca. 1 Autostunde von Asiat entfernt kommt man in das Areal von Meir. Dort sind momentan drei Felsengräber zu besichtigen. über eine versandete Rampe führt der Weg ca. 300 mir zu einer Felswand in der sich die Gräber aus dem mittleren reich befindenbefinden. Gut ausgestattet das Grab des Pep-Ankh mit Jagdszenen usw. fotografieren verboten !

This place is about 1 hour drive north west of Assiut and not many people know about.
Beautiful details there (not compared to Kings Valley in Luxor or Amarna tombs) but unique. Almost no tourists go there because Assiut state is not on the touristic map, but if you have a long holiday in Egypt and if you can climb to it I would recommend it.

مكان اثرى رائع لكنه مجهول للكثيرين حتى بالنسبة لابناء اسيوط المكان عباره عن عدد من المقابر الفرعونية باعلى الجبل

I have some photos about the ascent/.descent to these tombs, but photography of the tombs themselves, as in all Egypt, is not allowed.
For those who can make the climb through the soft sand (I'm 65, overweight and two recent replacement knees and I made it, but it required a few rest halts and drinks) , the tombs are well worth the visit, especially Tomb 4 (Senbi - Son of Ukh-Hotb) which is quite large and has a fair expanse of walls where only the drawings were done in preparation for the carving that never happened - These are amazing for their detail.
