The westernmost point of Phillip Island is worth exploring, especially The Nobbies. Inside you’ll find lots of information and stunning views but it’s outside that is awesome. Boardwalks and information signs lead you around the point where you can take in the beautiful coastline. Walk as far or as little as you like….it’s up to you. We saw so many birds and gulls nesting. There are toilets there and a nice icecream shop with seating inside and outside.

Majestic ocean views and the many rock formations off the coast, walk the long & massive boardwalk, look for penguins in their small burrows, unfortunately the center was closed at time of visit, but still nice to walk around the whole parameter, free to enter

My cousin went to The Nobbies on Phillip Island this week. Had planned to visit the Visitors Centre. He tried to pay with cash and they refused. They said they don't take cash 😡. It is still legal tender!!!

What an incredible experience to view the sites of nature and all its beauty. Amazing ocean views with crashing waves performing to entertain our eyes, ears and minds. A wooden track with plenty of space to capture spectacular views, selfies or group photos to last forever.
The cafe offers a variety of simple yet tasteful meals & drinks overlooking the ocean through magnificent windows.
The added bonus here is you may also get the opportunity to see penguins strutting about as they await their feed, not to mention the wallabies and variety birds in their natural habitat as you drive out through the scenic route.

Lovely views and good boardwalk. Can be very windy at times so best to bring jumper or jacket. Keep an eye out for the wildlife in the grass - can see penguins, echidnas, etc

while it is payable to enter the nobbies centre exhibition, the boardwalk at the western tip of phillip island is free
you can easily see cape barren geese nesting here, as well as their young. there is also a wallaby hanging out by the sea. gulls and terns are also around. didnt see any penguins in august but then again that's not the best time to view them .
there is also a blowhole onsite, as well as a seal rock nearby though you probably need a binoculars to see the seals properly as it is abt 2km away from shore. or take a cruise.
even if you spot no wildlife, the boardwalk is worth visiting for the views alone.
downside is the boardwalk is only open until an hour before sunset.

This is a pretty area with decent walkways down to the sea. The seals are pretty far off shore so you definitely need some type of field glasses to see them. Enjoyed the high energy of the ocean here as it crashed on the rockbound shore.

The Nobbies is a beautiful spot to visit year round.
The rugged landscape is amazing and wild.
The beautifully constructed boardwalk allows you to walk all along the coast and view the sea, cliffs and wildlife.
Great photography opportunities.
We also visited the Nobbies Center where we viewed the interesting Antarctic Journey exhibit which is a definite MUST!!
On the lower level you are taken on an almost spiritual trip through music and video, on multiple big screens, to Antarctic scenery and wildlife - Incredible!!
Great Visit!! Not to be Missed!!

A wonderful coastal boardwalk area to explore. Well maintained with great views. Definitely an enjoyable experience and would recommend.

It's several kilometres , either way,from the esplanade car park in Cowes, but you can choose to have a leisurely stroll on the main beach where the pier is! It's absolutely worth the visit, a quaint little town with some great attractions- the ferry departs there, and takes you to Stony Point just 15 minutes away, there is a train there, and also to French Island, which is occupied by a small community , very close to the dock.
