Sara gentilissima e disponibile. Camere molto belle e spaziose. Apprezzato il televisore smart tv, la vasca e il frigobar. Posizione ottima. Parcheggio comodo e sicuro. Esperienza da ripetere.

Lovely rooms in 18th century aristocratic residence. Super breakfast, charming and helpful reception. I’d happily go again.

Villa Durante è stata una piacevole sorpresa durante il nostro breve soggiorno a Ercolano.
Oltre a essere un viaggio nel luogo è stato un viaggio nel tempo, un tuffo nel passato.
Soggiornare a Villa Durante è stata una esperienza affascinante e rilassante.
I nostri complimenti a Sara che ci ha "accolti", riempiti di attenzioni, informazioni utili e simpatia.
Ottima, varia e curata la colazione servita in camera.
Torneremo sicuramente e consiglieremo ad amici e conoscenti.
Grazie di tutto.

Siamo stati l'ultimo fine settimana e subito dal nostro arrivo siamo stati ricevuti da Sara che ci ha accontentati e coccolati in tutte le nostre richieste villa molto bella e arredata con pezzi di antiquariato siamo stati splendidamente da consigliare sicuramente ancora grazie al nostro prossimo soggiorno .

Abbiamo trascorso tre notti a Villa Durante:pulizia,gentilezza,cura dell'ospite hanno caratterizzato il nostro soggiorno

Super mooi hotel. Vriendelijk ontvangen. En lekker ontbijt. Overal dichtbij. De stad zelf is erg vies maar super aardige mensen. De opgravingen zijn de moeite waard. Maar van het hotel hebben we het meest genoten.

My experience differs greatly from previous reviewers, and I just loved this place. Yes, it is quirky... it is in a restored 18th century villa, not a modern Marriott. There are cherubs on the vaulted ceilings in the entrance! And grand artwork on the walls everywhere. And chandeliers! The staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating, the place is clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere is that of a museum or art gallery, as befitting a trip to a part of Italy boasting Herculaneum and Pompeii as its major attractions. Herculaneum is five minutes walk, Pompeii is close, although traffic can be bad, and Vesuvius is minutes away. There is good food and cheap local pizza nearby. Breakfast was simple, fresh, and plentiful, and delivered to your room whenever you want it.
So, if you want a Marriott or a Holiday Inn, this isn't your place. If you want a taste of authentic Italy, and like a bit of quirkiness, you can't go wrong here.

The water heater is very small, if one person takes bath, the second person has to wait 45 minutes before water heats up.
No internet. They said they would get fixed, never got it working. Stayed 3 days.
People are courteous, but the facilities are not as promised online,

1. Ants in the suite. The staff offered to "clean" the dresser to remove the ants. When we asked if they would spray ant poison they were confused and clarified that they would wipe down the top of the dresser on which we found the ants.
2. The steps to the Villa Durante from the area where you park are not lit and are uneven and dangerous.
3. The breakfast was simple and delicious.
4. Ercolano was a dump. I would pay to not visit this part of Italy again. Honestly, it put me off wanting to continue our vacation.
5. The hotel provided exactly four towels. When we requested additional towels on day three we were told they did not have any additional towels.
6. The ceilings in the suite are so high that the sound of a conversation dissipates so you hear very little unless the person is right next to you. This is not conducive to having a conversation.
7. The staff were not able to make a suggestion regarding where to purchase a swimsuit for our daughter. I googled it and had three options in seconds. They were astounded.
9. The pillows are foam and rock hard.
10. The steps to the upstairs bedroom in the suite are dangerous. No hand rail and extremely steep.
11. The second bathroom, which is the only bathroom, shower does not drain. So you stand in the water.
In general the owner is claiming to provide a hotel, but really this is not a hotel. This is a weird apartment for rent with breakfast.

E' sita sul Miglio d’Oro di Ercolano e l'attuale indirizzo è Corso Resina n. 310). Il primo possessore fu il principe di Teora e nell'ottocento divenne proprietà della famiglia Durante che la ingrandì e la elevò costruendo l'intero secondo piano. La facciata si presenta uniformemente lineare con due portali d'ingresso ed uno stemma sormontato dai resti di una statuina di S. Michele Arcangelo riecheggiante un'altra statua opera di Domenico Vaccaro e collocata nella chiesa napoletana dedicata al Santo
