An excellent evening beginning with champagne and canapés in the hotel lounge. Chef was very much on the ball with his pre-dinner preparation done to perfection; this meant a seamless succession of different flavours and culinary experiences.

The kitchen was clean and tidy, all the ingredients were good, the instruction given by James the chef was brilliant and very informative. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and we didn't have to clean up afterwards. The food we made tasted lovely and we were able to eat the fruits of our labour.

Lovely morning of cooking for my 3 children in a gorgeous kitchen. They were very happy there whilst my husband and I enjoyed the spa! Would be great to have had the menu in advance.

This was the gift that kept on giving! A full-day cookery course at Swinton Estate with James Cooper - without doubt one of the best gifts I have ever been given and I came away able to prepare and cook six or seven main courses. Teaching excellent! Atmosphere Excellent! Camaraderie excellent! Quality of ingredients excellent! There was nothing to complain about apart that is, not thinking ahead and arranging to stay overnight! Thank you for a truly special day. Look forward to the next time.

My partner and I took part in the half day Mexican cookery course wth chef James. It was truly fantastic. James was very down to earth, made the session interesting, fun and we both learnt loads. We have stayed at the hotel sevareal times but it's the first time we have done a cookery course, and we can't wait to do it again. Highly recommend. Thank you James.

We undertook one of the Asian cookery courses and loved every minute of it. Well planned with great ingredients and had an amazing day. Expensive but worth doing.

Beautiful hotel and grounds and food in the Terrace was fantastic.

What a wonderful evening we had at the Chef’s Table. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared in front of us by a very professional chef. Just perfect.

Does the hotel or Kiloland have any water slides or splash pool with slides for young children?

Good morning zozwilks, unfortunately we do not have splash pool or water slides at Swinton Park. We do however have lots of other activities for families and in our Boot Room you will find lots of outdoor coats, wellies, childrens bikes and games should the weather not be good.
We also have a number of childrens cookery classes throughout the year in our Cookery School.
