A delightful, historic Church, located behind The Bear pub in Esher.
Free parking available - behind the Church, per se, but it does have time restrictions on the parking bays, so do be careful, as the local CC are very fond of doling out parking tickets, in extremis!
The grounds are always well maintained, with a gardener mowing the lawns at least once a fortnight.
First day of what felt like Summer - excellent temperature of 20 centigrade, just after 4 pm.
The bench nearest the front and side doors, makes for an excellent sun-trap and place to mull over all manner of things.
It certainly gave me a chance to ‘look back’ fondly over the ‘lives of others’ after the passing of a dear relative, a family pooch, (since January) and a long-standing friend, on the Friday prior.
Cathartic and pleasant couple of hours in the later stages of the afternoon.

After realising that I had made a faux-pas over the Ts and Cs, regarding the rules of eating at 50 percent off in August, accidentally (entirely), earlier in the late afternoon, I decided to stop off here, and ask the ‘Big Man upstairs’ for immediate forgiveness 👍 He reminded me, so very much, of the Man from Del Monte - he had said a big ‘yes.’ I felt relieved.
All joking aside - this is a fantastic, historic church - Tudor, I estimate, albeit I could be wrong. Historic - in as much as Queen Victoria used to worship here, when she was residing at her residence in nearby Claremont.
The Church, per se, is non functioning - in terms of being able to host weddings, funerals, christenings, services of worship but is open to the public, apparently, on some days (non Covid period).
Parking is readily available - nearby - free, for two hours max. Plus there are many wooden benches to sit down, and relax on.
Well worth a visit, if in the Esher area.

Day off from work, so decided to have a walk round this very quaint and peaceful Church, in the Centre of Esher.
The graveyard has been maintained nicely, with tombstones dating back very many years.
Several benches within the Church grounds, so one is able to sit down, and take in the peaceful grounds.

Located between the Library and The Bear Pub in Esher - this is a delight - whether one wants to sit on a bench outside, and have a look inside.
I believe this was the Church which Queen Victoria used to worship in, when she was in residence at Claremont, many years ago.
Beautiful and historic.
