Im Juni 2023 waren wir für einige Tage in Beaune. Eine Woche vor unserem Kurzurlaub kamen wir auf die Idee, auch eine Weinprobe zu besuchen. Auf der Suche nach Möglichkeiten stieß ich auf die Homepage von Pascal und schrieb ihn auf gut Glück an. Leider war es zu kurzfristig, er selbst hatte keine Zeit, um mit uns eine Weinprobe zu machen. Aber er organisierte für uns eine Weinprobe im größten Weinkeller von Beaune, eine Freundin von ihm betreute uns bestens. Außerdem nahm er sich an einem Spätnachmittag noch die Zeit, sich mit uns zu treffen und uns einiges über Wein zu erzählen. Es war sehr nett, kurzweilig und lehrreich für uns. Wir hatten das Gefühl, als würden wir uns schon länger als nur gerade eine Woche kennen. Außerdem bekamen wir noch gute Restaurant-Tipps von ihm. Schön, dass wir ihn gefunden haben, er war eine große Bereicherung für unseren Aufenthalt! Wir treffen ihn bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt im schönen Burgund gerne wieder!

A few months ago we toured again with Pascal Wagner, our wine-land-history-culture-food-fun expert in Burgundy, France. We love Puligny Montrachet, and we love our friend, Pascal. He provides great variety and therefore fun with an expansive French wine overview at both large and small arenas. We have learned much from him in all areas in delightful presentations. We feel at peace and welcomed here. Pascal has very important access. He will do everything possible to enhance your stay! He even went to the grocery store with us!

We had a fantastic tour in the Burgundy wine region by Pascal. We received a lot of interesting information, although we know the region quite well, Pascal was able to create greater insights in the region and the wines. Pascal has as a lot of connections so we were able to visit some nice winemakers and were able to sell some great bottles. Pascal is a very clever and funny person, so not only did we learn a lot, we also laughed a lot !! We had a memorable experience and can recommend this to everyone !

Pascal was absolutely amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of wine - from all areas, not sure Burgundy. He understands the flavor profiles and how to actually experience the most of the wines. His personality is so infectious - we all loved him and his energy. Pascal has so much passion for wine and life and it was so nice to have him teach us about wines in the home and then again at the wineries the next day. He took us to places that we would not have experienced on our own. Private, exclusive tastings. It is completely worth having him during your stay. We hope to have him visit us and learn more next time. Do not hesitate to hire Pascal!

Nous sommes allés au Château de Saint Aubin pour découvrir ses vins. Pascal nous a accueillis à l’entrée et a passé presque trois heures avec nous. C’était une expérience inédite et incomparable.
Pendant que l’on dégustait les vins du domaine, Pascal a partagé avec nous les spécificités de chaque vin, ainsi que des explications détaillées sur le vignoble de Bourgogne. Il nous a aussi décrit les enjeux de la région au niveau de l’écologie et l’économie et nous a partagé ses philosophies du vin et du monde. Pour moi qui débute dans le monde du vin, j’ai été très touché par sa volonté de partager et sa convivialité.
Après avoir fait quelques achats, il nous a recommandé un restaurant dans le village de Puligny-Montrachet. Il m’a proposé de monter dans sa voiture et parler du vignoble pendant que mes parents et ma sœur nous suivaient. Il nous a montré des parcelles célèbres de Saint Aubin et Puligny-Montrachet ainsi que des vues incroyables du vignobles. Une expérience que je n’aurais pas pu imaginer, mais une que je ne vais jamais oublier

Une rencontre hors de temps et de l’espace
Pascal est tellement en osmose avec le terroir et les ceps que ses explications sont d’une limpidité et d’un intérêt certain.
Je recommande de. faire une halte à Puligny sans avoir trop d’impératifs temporels pour savourer ce moment en sa compagnie

Our time with Pascal was one of the key highlights of our trip in France. He was Incredibly hospitable, welcoming us like friends. He brought us around on a few splendid tastings which we throughly enjoyed, bringing the theory to life.
His passion for Burgundy, it’s history (wine and non wine) and produce really shown. We learnt a lot from him and his experiences as a winemaker working in the trade.
We look forward to catching up with a friend when we next visit Burgundy. Thank you Pascal for the wonderful memories!

If you wish to get straight into the heart and history of this apex wine producing area then ensure that you engage Pascale to be your guide and companion - he is excellent in both roles! Whether in English, German or French, he will share decades of experience and knowledge accumulated from working in various parts of the industry in Beaune and surrounds. In one fantastically enjoyable day you will have a keen insight into one of the worlds most exclusive wine regions that produces amongst the worlds best wines. You will not regret this excursion!
