What a beautiful evening we had at the Outdoor Cinema.
Greeted by a friendly host who was so helpful (our first visit)
Packed a picnic and drinks, we were able to book a table to eat then moved over to the grassed area to watch the movie.
Pillows and blankets were provided.
This is a great, inexpensive night out, highly recommended.

Why is this Outdoor Conea so much more expensive that the other Outdoor Cinema's in Perth? Burswood and Bassendne are at least $20 cheaper for a family of four than this one.

Packed a picnic and headed for the hills last night to spend some quality time with my daughter and watch a movie.
The Kookaburra is a hills institution and is always really busy. We got the last picnic table behind the screen! So the tip is get there when the doors open at 6.15 if you want a picnic table.
Fabulous family atmosphere, no aggro ,no talking and crinkling lolly papers during the movie very civilised .
If you do not have a picnic grab a superb pizza from Caesar’s in Mundaring and a bottle of wine or a couple of beers on your way through.

We come here regularly during summer to watch movies. The selection is great. We bring a picnic and a bottle of wine before the movie to enjoy the grounds.

Fabulous little cinema (not so little, but smaller than Somerville). They have a lovely area to picnic - you can reserve a table if they have surplus available. It is a hidden gem. We really enjoyed our evening.

I can thoroughly recommend this lovely little outdoor cinema, right in the heart of the bush. We sat under a lovely old Jacaranda tree (which was in full bloom), enjoyed the picnic (& wine) that we brought & watched a movie in the most lovely of settings with friendly, happy people. All for just $15. This family friendly venue is just the best way to chill out under the stars (& yes the Kookaburra's even sang for the crowd).

Since Kookaburra Cinema went digital the selection of movies has widened! We love the ambience of sitting watching a movie with the Stars twinkling above us!
We live fairly close so get an opportunity on a balmy summer night to relax and enjoy!
You can take a picnic hamper with you and they have a small bar to order coffees etc!
Depending on the movies - great place for families and friends to enjoy!

This outdoor cinema up in the hills is a great place for friends to meet for a picnic before watching a movie under the stars. You might even see Kangaroos hopping around outside, and certainly see lots of birds. There are tables and benches, or chairs for people to enjoy their picnics before the movie. Doors open at 6.30 and the show starts at 8pm. A bonus is they usually show vintage newsreels before the main feature film.
Deck chairs provided, but cushions and rugs add to your comfort. Ice creams, coffee etc available at the kiosk.

We are planning on coming to see a movie tomorrow night but there is rain and possible thunderstorms predicted. What happens in that situation.

Pretty sure the show must go on . However st this time of the year you would be dead unlucky to get caught in the rain.
