Great trail, went clockwise from Pechey road which made it longer. The best part is the beginning with the waterfalls...mind you, lots of water in July but hardly any in October. The Eagles view is lovely. The trail is very well marked, you can’t get lost at all. Take plenty of water and do it in winter or spring. Spring is great for wildflowers.

Took us just under 4 hours to complete with a few little breaks for photos. Some tough sections with loose rocks and steepish ups and downs. Plenty of flat sections as well though especially towards the end if going clockwise. Best views mostly first half of walk. Take at least 2 litres of water

Great walk. We parked at swan view and walked through the train tunnel which is a must if you haven’t done it before. When you get to the trail go clockwise as the markers are positioned this way and if you go anticlockwise it can be difficult to see all the markers. Maybe just us! Either way it is a great walk with awesome views

Recommended by family as a lovely walk with extensive views of greater Perth and of the beauty of the surrounding National Park. Range of walking tracks. The main track is an easy grade and connects a range of waterfalls and beauty spots. Wonder way to enjoy a beautiful fine day,

Awesome hiking trail with friends. Good training circuit for trail runners.
Great views of the city.

This would really interest you if you like hiking through bushes. I hiked the Christmas Tree Creek trail but the creek had already dried up when I visited (late Jan). The most scenic part of the trail was between the starting point and up to Eagle View lookout. I stopped at the lookout for about half hour to launch my drone but half of the time I was getting swarmed and bitten by bulldog ants(I think that's what they are). From there onwards it was all loose rocky surfaces cutting through the forest/bushes and I personally didn't find it interesting. However, I can imagine how colourful the trail would be in spring when the wild flowers are in full bloom, and along with the creek flowing, it would be a really nice tranquil place to hike along. According to the information board, the trail I hiked was about 10.5 km. At the half way point, you reach an intersection and you get to choose the full hike (eagle eye trail ~ a further 9km for a total 16km) or Christmas Tree creek trail.
It took me approximately 3.5 hours to complete the hike including all stops/breaks and consumed about 1 litre of water. There were a few ankle spraining slippery sections, which I somehow managed to avoid so make sure you wear good hiking shoes and maybe carry a hiking pole which would be helpful to shoo away those bees. Mobile coverage was available for the second half of the trail but was intermittent in the first half.

Bring snacks and water, long but beautiful walk. Eagle view is closer to 18km, we did it in 3 hours 10 minutes, both very fit and also didn't hang around views much. Prob avoid if weather has been really really wet.
You will be tired afterwards. Pub lunch at John Forrest Tavern is a must.

The Treck was 17km took us about 4.5 hours that is because we did have a mate that was not as fit as the rest of us.
The track itself was slightly at times on an incline and with an incline, you must have a "going down" with that said it really was an easy trail. Beginners can do. Make sure you have water and snacks. If you see my pictures you will see a snake :)

Started this trail at 0700 on Sat morning, it was drizzly and misty. Quite moody atmosphere like this. The mist lifted and the sun started coming through the clouds.
i really enjoyed this trail, the wild flowers were at different stages and I think it will look quite different in a couple of weeks with a change in the varieties of flowers. Nice way to spend 3.5 hours in the morning

Great little trail up through the National Park - some rough sections that require good grips on your shoes. Gentle climb up to an excellent view from the top.
