The visit started with an explanation of the volcanic activity in the island and the natural process behind the formation of a volcanic tube.
We then went to the cave via a short drive + walk. Once inside the cave, the guide continued to explain its formation and the geological formations that we could see.
The guide was very knowledgeable of the topic and the area and answered any questions that we had.

Muy buena opción en un viaje a Tenerife para comprender, y ver un tubo volcánico y que te expliquen su funcionamiento. No hay ninguna dificultad en el recorrido a no ser que tengas movilidad reducida o vayas con calzado inadecuado

Cueva excepcional volcánica. Gracias a las explicaciones de Patricia y la amabilidad de Lucía, hicieron de esta visita un ratito inolvidable dentro de nuestro viaje a Tenerife. Muy didactico... y explicaciones amenas que nos hicieron aprender mucho con la visita. Lo recomendaremos a todas las personas con interes curioso al respecto de geología, volcanes de Tenerife. Nosotros fuimos en familia con nuestro hijo de 5 años y no perdió detalle de la cueva y alrededor. En frente hay un guachinche que se come superbien y ya remtata la faena.

La guía súper profesional. La ruta preciosa para llegar a la cueva. Muy interesante para saber más de la isla. Hay parking al lado para dejar el coche.

Experiencia imprescindible en Tenerife, nuestro guía francisco nos explico con pasión todo lo relacionado con la cueva y nos dio datos interesantes sobre la isla tanto de lugares para visitar ,comer etc .....

Hoy 23/11 /22 , hemos visitado la cueva del viento. Un lugar al que vale la pena visitar .
Todo muy bien organizado, las cuevas son muy impresionantes, pero como cada experiencia el guía es muy importante. Nos ha echo vivir una experiencia única, súper profesional y siendo nativo de la zona mejor todavía. Es claro que visitar una cueva es muy bonito, pero que te cuenten de un modo mágico la historia es el Top !!!!! Súper staff.
Te recomiendo, llegar con anticipación de almenos 10" minutos. En la cueva hace frío, así que llevas abrigo. Nada de mochilas ,no están permitidas. Vas a estar en la cueva por un poco. Así que ir al baño antes de partir. Es muy importante que cojas los tickes por Internet, eligiendo tu idioma, almenos dos o tres días con anterioridad.
La actividad dura alrededor de 2hs . Y vale la pena !!!!. Recuerda que no es posible sillas de rueda y para cualquier tipo de inhabilidad, disabilità contacta la cueva .

Gran experiencia ,nuestro guía Rayco nos hizo sentir la cueva en su estado natural, explica de una manera tan apasionante ,que hace que aprendas mucho, se tomó todo el tiempo necesario con nosotros y fue una visita inolvidable, merece la pena 100% ,fuimos con niños y es una visita fácil para ellos y lo mejor es todo lo que aprendieron sobre volcanes y la cueva en especial.Mil gracias Rayco ,es de las mejores experiencias que nos llevamos de la isla.

This was a fabulous experience. We got lucky joining an English guide at the last moment but better be sure to book in advance. Our guide Mary was superb! She engaged our children (twins of 9 and young one of 7 years old) so that they also enjoyed this experience. Mary knows also how to capture the attention of the adults by describing lively the formation of the lava tunnels.
Allesandro - driver and reception - was super kind and not only provided helmets that fit the children but also appropriate shoes (instead of the sandals our kids and my wife were wearing). Not super cold but a sweater is a must. Sensible shoes if you have them with you.
Great for all though you have to be fit enough to take a short walk to the entrance and walk some distance in the lava tunnel. Worth every eurocent! And ask for Mary (English guide) as she as been awesome!

Nos sorprendió la experiencia. Nuestra guía, Nereida, encantadora y muy atenta con cada una de las personas que íbamos en el grupo, con pasión no solo nos mostró un lugar impresionante, sino que hizo que nos teletransportáramos a cada momento de la historia. Ha sido realmente un placer compartir esta experiencia con un equipo de profesionales, de principio a fin. ¡Totalmente recomendable para todas las edades!

Mit Überraschung habe ich gesehen, dass derzeit die Höhlentour buchbar ist. Mit Masken, kleinen Gruppen und Abstand. Aber all das reicht ja nicht wegen der Aerosole. Es sei denn es gebe dort ein Lüftchen, dass durch die Hölle geht. Weiß jemand, inwiefern die Höhle belüftet ist? Oder aus Erfahrung, war es sehr stickig?

Guten Tag
In der Cueva del viento ( Höhle des Windes) ist immer ein Lüftchen, daher ihr Name. Es wurde alles von einem Experten de sanidad canaria überprüft und es ist in der Höhle kein erhöhtes Risiko. Es handelt sich bei der Vulkanhöle um eine natürliche Höhle die mehrere ein und ausgäbe verschiedener Dimensionen hat und so die Luftzirkulation ermöglicht.

Nein, wir haben (im Januar 2020) direkt dort gebucht - aber für einen Termin vier Tage später. Früher war eine deutschsprachige Führung nicht zu bekommen.
Generell kommt man besser, wenn man rechtzeitig von zu Hause aus bucht (also online), dann klappt es bestimmt auch mit dem Wunschtermin besser.
Und Bezahlung mit Kreditkarte ist online sowieso obligatorisch. Ob an der Kasse auch bar bezahlt werden kann weiß ich nicht. Viel Spaß dort!

It depends on how severe your claustrophobia is. There is no need to crawl anywhere, but I wouldn't say it is "not claustrophobic". You're going to spend some time underground in corridors, in darkness.
I would call Cueva del Vento team and ask about their experiences with claustrophobic people in the cave, they for sure know the best.

Hi , there is a bit of Walk but nothing extreme , the cave visit takes about one hour and is very dark . The only risk inside is that the floor is very slippery or bumpy depending on the area but if you’re careful I don’t think it is a problem. Make sure to wear leggings and a jumper as it gets cold in there and also hiking boots are the best option

Hola, podrías decirme cuanto se tarda en llegar hasta la cueva, he leído que se va por un camino y no se si será muy complicado para mi marido operado de la cadera, en la web de la cueva indican que se abstengan personas con problemas de las rodillas y en los tobillos. Y en la cueva se puede caminar bien o el suelo está complicado ?

bonjour, nous avons réservé pour le 22/11/18 mais nous c'est une erreur de date, comment faire pour être remboursé, nous voulions faire la visite le jeudi 15 et non le 22, au nom de Mercier Sébastien pour 4 personnes, pourriez-vous faire un geste afin de ne pas perdre 80 euros pour rien merci d'avance
