Absolutely beautiful museum. Staff are lovely from the get go. A nice gent gave a brief explanation of what was there, where and when it came from and also a guide to where and what you could find. Chicken feed was given on arrival too. Lots of lovely little animals and a great piece of history in general. I was lucky enough to meet a lady who was making bonnets who gave me a nice history of them aswell as some of the buildings. She even offered for me to wear one. Easily accessible on the 7 bus, and about a 10 minute walk from the stop. A must see if you enjoy history and seeing something different.

If you love nature & historical places, don't miss out on this wonderful experience. We travelled by bus & it is only a 10-minute walk to the reception area where we were warmly welcomed & given all the information required to enjoy our visit. All the staff & volunteers are very friendly & knowledgeable & we look forward to visiting again.q

This was a very interesting museum seeing how things were done in the 1800's Volunteers were very knowledgeable and happy to share the information.

We visited on a rainy day, but it did not disappoint. Small car park. We were warmly greeted and because of our curiosity in the cider making, we were taken through to where they made it and were allowed to try some. The volunteer was fun and informative with the history of the place and the cider making. There's old style rooms of what houses looked like in times gone past, a small farm with loads of chickens they give you seed to feed them, calves, sheep, pigs, rabbits. A nice cafe and toilets also available. There's a play area. This place is ideal for children.

Just incredible in so many ways! The staff are just so wonderful, polite, accommodating and full of brilliant insights into the history of Hamptonne. The food in the cafe is delicious- lovely local produce, the service is always with a smile! The actors are extremely entertaining and knowledgable- bringing the history to life! The volunteer guides so friendly! The everything about the farm is magical- evening the chickens!

Thought it was a little expensive for how long it took to go round, however it was an interesting look into the past and how things used to be and the buildings were set as they used to be, i was just expecting there to be a bit more on the site.

I liked the house but felt that the animal side was slightly underwhelming although there were several young children gleefully feeding the chickens, but other than that two cows, a few sheep, and three pigs, nothing special.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Hamptonne Country Life Museum is a picturesque country farm estate from the 15th century which shares the story of Jersey’s rural life. The animals we care for are representative of the type of animals that would have been typical on such a farm.

Very good value £9ish. Free guided tours. Farm animals & space for a picnic. Lady in main house Very knowledgeable, volunteers helpful. Gift shop & toilets on site. Need at least 2 hours here. I would like them to consider some sort of shuttle transport to & from the bus stop , to coincide with the buses as its quite a walk. Most would pay a fee say of £1 each way. Great day out. Cafe on site.

Lovely morning spent here. 20 minutes on the bus and a 5 minute walk from the bus. We arrived in time for the guided tour by Dave who is an asset to Jersey Heritage . Fun, informative and we found more helpful than wandering around on our own. All the staff were great, had a taste of the cider, looked around and saw the animals. Nice little cafe too.
