I recently returned from an absolutely incredible trip through the French and Italian alps with Robert from CycleVentoux. We briefly considered trying to put the trip together ourselves but we were quickly overwhelmed with all the unknowns and logistical challenges. Robert was introduced to me by a mutual friend and it was clear that we'd found the right person to help us pull the trip off. What I loved most in that initial stage was the he listened to what we wanted to do instead of trying to convince us of doing something else. In the lead up to the trip, Robert was great in communicating what to expect and worked with us to refine the details of our itinerary. While on the trip, Robert took care of every detail and we didn't have to worry about a single thing except riding our bikes. At one point we needed to adjust the riding schedule to accommodate our tired legs and Robert effortlessly adapted to the change without missing a beat, showing off his deep expertise of the area. I can't wait to work with Robert in the near future to craft our next "Trip of a Lifetime"!

I had the best time ever on this trip. The roads we rode and mountains we climbed were a dream come true and it was just the tip of the iceberg so I will need to go again. Everything was handled which made the trip all the more enjoyable. From the hotels to snacks and food during the ride. The hotels were all awesome and in some amazing place. And I even got a couple sticky bottles from Robert on the side of the road. Robert’s knowledge of the area is awesome so we learned something about everywhere we went. That alone almost made the trip, intimate knowledge of where you are makes a trip all the more enjoyable. It’s so much better than reading it from a book. The flexibility we had to change our ride plans on the fly was immeasurably valuable as well. This was one of the best vacations I have ever had. Being such a bike nerd and getting to see the race go by and then ride the roads I have been watching these guys ride forever was such a thrill. Thank you CycleVentoux!!!!

Just returned from a Amazing cycling tour of the French Alps / watch and rode stages of Tour de France 2018 navigated by Robert Deeley/Cycle Ventoux. Not knowing what to expect my team of two other cyclist was just applauded by the service we received leading up to our Excursion to France and our 7day stay Italy to France. From hotels to restaurants, cafe's. Robert is a true expert in touring! I'm ready to plan my next excursion with CV.#YOLO

After last year’s fantastic introduction to cycling in the Pyrenees (Pyrenees Oriental), my buddies and I were motivated to return this year to experience the Midi Pyrenees - again with Robert Deeley and CycleVentoux. The terrain is spectacular and we alternated big climbing days (several iconic Tour de France passes) with easier/ longer “valley” rides.
Robert provided guidance, encouragement, historical perspectives, and most importantly, van support and nourishment!
The lodging was wonderful and hotels strategically located to make the most of our 7 days of riding. Evening meals focused on local recipes and never failed to impress us.
CV has dependably delivered on customizable “all inclusive” cycling adventures in Europe. Looking forward to the next one!

Wonderful bicycling trip in the High Pyrenees led by the master, Robert Deeley, owner and head guide of Cycleventoux. Robert met us in Toulouse with a van and Pinarello, Ultegra outfitted bikes. After a Valley ride warm up the first evening we rode the classics; Cal d'Aspin, Tourmelet, Aubisque, Peyresourde and a bonus route to Cirque De Gavarnie and Col des Tentes. Every ride, each hotel and every meal was excellent and memorable. Wonderful lunch picnics. The advantage of riding with Cycleventoux is small group size (we were 4 riders), flexibility to add or reduce mileage and modify routes, great van and local support, and the personal attention and experience Robert brings to every trip. This was my third time riding with them and I will certainly return, hopefully every season. Cycleventoux is a leader in small group private tours with a perfect balance of riding, culture and value.

Robert did an outstanding job planning and leading our cycling tour of Tuscany. We spent 7 days cycling through the countryside of Tuscany ... Montalcino, San Giovanni d'Asso, Siena, San Gimignano, Impruneta, Florence. His choice of boutique hotels and restaurants were great ... each of them unique, interesting and memorable. Additionally, Robert integrated special activities into our schedule: tour of the Caparzo winery, cooking class at Badia e Coltibuono, lunch at saffron estate, tour of of artisan olive oil producer and more. Each morning he set us up with our cycling route and got us going, and each evening he got us situated into our hotel and pointed in the right direction for an enjoyable dinner and evening. Robert and his team is knowledgeable and super attentive.

This trip was a private cycle vacation with one other couple. The area is breath taking cycling hard, inexpensive wine and food was also amazing. The accommodations were homey and comfortable. The views from our terrace beautiful. Our private guide was always there for each of us no matter what our needs were biking,, translating and making us comfortable. I would recommend cycle ventoux without reservation.

Our trip to Monforte D’Alba and the surrounding area was amazing. The biking was difficult but worth it. Our guide, Paola, was there for us throughout the day. Her knowledge of the area made the trip very personal and special. The food was incredible. I really enjoyed visiting the hazelnut farm and the wineries. Robert and Paola made our trip to Piedmont one we will always remember. I look forward to traveling with CycleVentoux again.

Do you organise the cycling trips. What do I have to do to book a holiday. I want to book a cycling trip for June 10th 2017 and cycling Ventoux, Alpe D' Huez and some of the roads around the area. Are you able to help

Send Robert an email of what you want to do and he will come back to you immediately. We did a day trip with him to Gorges de la nesque and Mont Ventoux. He is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and we would have no hesitation in recommending him.
