On out latest visit to Josselin we noticed a few changes to the local craft / artist shops. Old ones frequently close down and new ones pop up, especially in summer.
The antique lighting shop has closed but a new glass etching shop has opened. Also, in the main street a bit further up from the church is a new local artist shop, housing a collection of different artists' work under one roof. Included was wood carving, pottery, glassware, and all manner of other items. On a Saturday, one of the artisan's was sat outside carving wood.

On peut voir. J'ai fait quelques acquisitions pour faire plaisir à mon épouse. Mais c'était vraiment pour lui faire ces petits plaisirs...
Je ne regrette pas, bien sûr puisque cela lui a fait plaisir, mais je sais que j'ai été un peu dupé.

Come è abbastanza normale in tutti i borghi di ambiente medievale si possono trovare anche a Josselin tutta una serie di shop artigianali che propongono oggetti di vario genere. Belli da vedere mentre si passeggia tra case a graticcio e di pietra. Magari si trova anche qualcosa da portare per ricordo.

Ein klassischer Andenkenshop mit einer riesen Auswahl. regional typische Spezialitäten werden ebenfalls angeboten. Vielleicht etwas mehr Auswahl als die anderen Shops die man auf einer Reise durch die Bretagne gesehen hat

The half timbered medieval builds in the old town of Josselin, house a number of tourist type shops along with the typical restaurants, bakers, butchers, etc. Some of the buildings have been nicely restored but some are showing the effects of time. The tourist shops are pretty much typical offering the typical souvenirs. The overall medieval feel of the village is impressive and well worth the visit.

It was really nice to see leather products still being hand made. The quality was quite good. The range was limited but items were attractive, with some novelty items (falconry gauntlet) and some small items great as gifts.
